Does one not expect the investigation to go through all text messages from Tunsil to any employee of Ole Miss to the extent they can be recovered? Of course there could be some missing or destroyed cell phones, ala Brady, in the meantime. But the fact remains, no "reasonable" explanation for the text messages has been put forward yet.

Haven't been on here in a bit. I just realized I was responding to an alter of the op.

To use anything Tunsil said or did, the NCAA has to personally interview him.
Now, Ole Miss will make available Miller and Barney for personal interviews. And supporting documentation.

I thought the NCAA was a bit frustrated as Tunsil did not work with them as much when they were investigating pre-Draft issues? On the one hand I'm with Laremy as nothing positive can come personally through doing anything more than you already have.
However, Reggie Bush has been purged from the history of USC. Their Hall of Champions does not mention him. Not once. He hasn't been back to campus since returning his Heisman Trophy.
Couldn't the NCAA require the institution to disassociate the player from the program as a punitive measure for failing to cooperate with investigators or an investigation after you leave the institution due to declaring for the pro ranks or using your eligibility up?
I'm genuinely unsure how Tunsil feels about OM. But if they vacate and get punished at all because of violations relating to impermissible benefits provided to him, I could see that as a tool at the NCAA's disposal. The question is would that potential outcome coerce Tunsil?
For me it would but most fans have a much different sense of fealty towards their alma mater...

The whole erasing history stuff really pisses me off.
I mean literally no one will remember tunsils name here in 3 years but people like Reggie bush who won the heisman should be recognized. That was the most amazing runs I've seen my entire life. And I hated USC

Well, Time will tell wont it.

Since I'm on the phone quote form here sucks for myself l, but why is om launching an investigation? Hmmm maybe because there are accusations.
That won't work for your argument either. There is no accusation. Just what Tunsil said. Now if you are right, and you are not, then there is nothing to investigate because there is no accusation from anybody.

And by the look of the last stanza, yes, constantly. Your failure of debate and logic is "mind bottling".
Rashad McCants public out burst used in that investigation didn't they?

Funk - You are correct to a point. However, Tunsil and our compliance officials went to Indianapolis and apologized for Tunsil's "reluctance" to be more forthcoming with information.
The 7-game penalty received NCAA's blessings and good wishes. I believe the meeting in Indy was after the 5th week of suspension.

He's been interviewed and lied straight to there faces once before. Very doubtful he would ever say a word to them again..........but don't think that they cannot use his statement his texts against OM.

Why did DJ say "high"?
He watched the video of Tunsil with the gas mask. Pretty sure everyone that watched it said high.

Which is why I'm curious how stupid can a man be? Either he hates OM for not paying that light bill; or just an utter retard to do what he did on draft night.
If you truely believe the $300 was for a light bill you're insanely naive.

Really? They apparently have authenticated the text exchange. The NCAA can certainly ask the coaches what Tunsil said or did that they heard or saw. And that information about what he said or did can no doubt be used. I am no expert on NCAA procedure, but I would suspect that hearsay rules don't apply, or at least not with the same rigor as in a court. Even if hearsay rules apply, there are exceptions that would allow the use of what Tunsil said, in part because at that point it falls on Ole Miss to explain what it did or didn't do in response to those texts from Tunsil. The coaches may lie, but they had better hope there aren't more texts that can be retrieved from communications between Tunsil and the Ole Miss staff that would be damning. And they had better have a more plausible explanation than what has been offered by some on the Rant of what they understood Tunsil was asking for in the texts and how they responded.

People forget that the NCAA is not bound by the criminal justice system....they ARE the system.

The ncaa still needs tunsil under the umbrella to do anything with what's known and out there.

No they do not. They have a coach that's involved. Now if they fire the coach or he resigns, thus not involved with OM, it may be a problem. As of now, the coach and AD has to answer questions and give a valid explanation. That is a fact. They don't need Tunsil one bit. But if the coaches try to make it all out like Tunsil was a money grubbed, then he will speak volumes.

Thr NCAA should have looked more into thr Tunsil issue... To determine if Bama knee or should have known.... But he was taking money from agents... Tunsil from coaches... Ouch.. Piss is fricked
