Baseball
Here are my picks as of right now...very tough at several spots, particularly P & OF but also 1B. Some are almost by default (no other decent options)
First Team All-SEC
C- Henri Lartique/Ole Miss
1B- Alex Destino/USC
2B- Ryne Birk/TAMU
3B- Nick Senzel/UT
SS- Kramer Robertson/LSU
OF- Anfernee Grier/AU (Player of the Year)
OF- Jaren Kendall/Vandy
OF- JB Woodman/Ole Miss
DH/UT- Jack Kruger/State
SP- Logan Shore/UF (Pitcher of the Year)
SP- Clark Schmidt/USC
RP- Thomas Burrows/BAMA
Second Team
C- Mike Rivera/UF
1B- Zach Levy/Mizzou
2B- Zach Reks/UK
3B- Boomer White/TAMU
SS- Michael Bernal/ARK
OF- Bryan Reynolds/Vandy
OF- Jake Fraley/LSU
OF- Gene Cone/USC
DH/UT- Hunter Melton/TAMU
SP- Dakota Hudson/State
SP- Kyle Wright/Vandy
RP- Shaun Anderson/UF
All-Freshman Team (no idea why people are so obsessed with all freshman/rookie (why not an all Sophomore team for example? but they do 'em so here goes:
C- Michael Curry/UGA (despite yips)
1B- Julian Infante/Vandy
2B- Cobie Vance/Bama
3B- Jon India/UF
SS- Connor Kaiser/Ethan Paul/Vandy
OF- Jake Mangum/State (Freshman of the Year)
OF- Antoine Duplantis/LSU
OF- Chandler Taylor/Bama
DH/UT- Alonzo Jones/Vandy
SP- Braden Webb/UC
SP- Adam Hill/USC
RP- Brady Fiegl/Ole Miss
I won't pretend to know enough about every player on every team to do an All-Defensive team, though I could list plenty that WON'T made the team.
Coach of the Year? That's a tough one---arguments for many. I'd probably pick Childress at TAMU

Probably b/c the voters on shite like this like to take TEAM accomplishments in account when handing out IND. accolades.
And that's no disrespect to Boomer White and his league-leading average.

Biggest toss-up is between him and Senzel from UT. Both are absolute monsters.

I appreciate how in baseball it's a legit "First Team" unlike basketball where 12 players make "1st Team."
Think about
9 position players * 14 teams = 126/9 = top 7.1% of players
3 pitchers * 14 teams = 42/9 = top 7.1%
Dansby Swanson (the #1 overall pick) was the 2nd Team Shortstop last year if you recall.

Thomas Burrows or Shaun Anderson is tough, too. People probably think the Burrows pick is a homer pick, but it's not. While Anderson has the better upside as professional, these teams aren't about that---that's what the draft is for...ha
H/9 K/9 BB/9
4.6, 13.7, 3.5
6.9, 12.2, 1.3
Top numbers are Burrows, bottom are Anderson.

Chris Reid might get the nod over him, he's been on fire in SEC games

senzel: .339 BA 8 HR 54 RBI .578 SLG .441 OB 23-26 SB .956 FLD 111 total bases
white: .424 BA 3 HR 37 RBI .551 SLG .500 OB 7-11 SB .939 FLD 109 total bases
was alot closer than i thought before looking it up, but it would be difficult to not have the league leader in hits on the first team.

Good call on Reid. Let him completely slip my mind. Seems like they usually give the nod to full-year starters unless someone else is head and shoulders well above them.

Also look out for Jordan Romero at catcher, dude is a monster and should have started all season (slugging .610). Much better stats than Rivera, although Rivera is a beast defensively. Could argue he's right up there with Lartique, since they are both more offensive minded catchers.

It's a tough call between Boomer White & Nick Senzel no doubt.
As noted earlier, Dansby Swanson was 2nd Team to Bregman last year and he led the league in hits and was drafted #1 overall fwiw.
The year before that Dansby Swanson was voted First Team at 2B despite State's Brett Pirtle leading the SEC in average.

Melton isn't a DH and he'll be on the first team.
HR - 3rd
Runs - 8th
RBIs - 1st
SLUG - 6th
TB - 4th

They were wrong then and are now if it holds true again.

I mean, it isn't THAT big a stretch. It isn't like Bregman was a 8th round pick.
Swanson was the #1 pick and Bregman was the #2 pick.
Swanson 2015
.335/.423
15 HR
64 RBI
16 SB
Bregman 2015
.323/.412
9 HR
49 RBI
38 SB

So they should just go down the list of who leads the league in batting average until all the positions are filled?

Just shows how ridiculous the talent is in the SEC when 1/1 in the draft doesn't even make 1st team in the conference.

I'd put LSU C Jordan Romero over Rivera on 2nd team.
.339 BA 9 HRs 39 RBIs and has only started 30 games

Exactly. And I think Bregman should have been picked over Swanson. He was a lot better defensively, as well which is ultimately the most important aspect of playing SS.

Of course not, but Swanson was the superior player. And this is coming from an Astro fan who wants to see Bregman moved up through the system quickly. He's smashing in Double A.
And this year Boomer is more deserving.
