And which rival does South Carolina lead a series against in football?

Missouri fan makes a troll thread about South Carolina and the Clemson trolls arrive on their tractors in droves.

Water is wet.

SC has more SEC Championship games appearances they Vandy, Kentucky and Ole Miss. So that's something.

South Carolina was in the Metro Conference from 1983 to 1992. A pretty good basketball league.

As much fun as we have at Cluck-U's expense, I actually agree with that. Leaving the ACC was a bad move for them.

At least South Carolina has had some good moments in basketball. Clemson is just putrid. How can one school in a conference known for basketball be so horrible year after year? South Carolina looks like Kansas compared to Clemson.

You won't get any arguments to that point...We have had only a few decent moments. Football has always been top priority. I will say that they are pumping some serious cash into renovating the basketball arena in hopes of improving the brand. They still need a big name coach to sign the "One and Dones"...

We really had no choice. The big names of the ACC (UNC and UM most notably) did not like that we were starting to push their shite in in basketball. Won the ACC in 1969 (football) and 1971 (basketball).

Also it was Dietzel who wanted to leave the most really since the ACC had more stringent recruiting rules that were causing us to lose out on every good recruit to SEC schools. I think it hurt us for a time, but long term, I like where we are. SEC Baby!

It's so weird every time I see Mizzou fans talking trash to South Carolina.

What world is this?

I'll take being in the SEC over the Almost Competitive Conference any day.

Just out of curiosity, why?...you are just well paid jobbers...You had a little run like Wake Forest did a few years ago or Vandy but eventually you are what you are.

The Top teams in the ACC are doing ok..

Because our facilities wouldn't be near what they are today if it wasn't for the SEC. That gives us a chance. If we were in the ACC, we wouldn't have the money to upgrade our facilities like we have, which means we'd be even worse than we are now.

Plus I'd kill myself if we had yearly games against Wake Forest and Boston College.

I'd rather be a shitty team in the SEC than play in the boring environments of ACC football. Clemson and FSU are the only two teams that have SEC caliber gameday atmospheres.

And you're rivals with Clemson and trail the series by 15 games. Which would you rather?

We have had an indoor practice facility for a few years now..has USC opened theirs yet?

Clemson is also building a 55 Million Dollar Complex:

Again...The ACC has everything a good program needs to be successful..If you just want a paycheck then I guess the SEC is fine...

I didn't mention anything about Clemson's facilities. Don't be insecure.

I'm saying that if we were in the ACC we'd permanently be a Wake Forrest type program. The SEC gives us a chance to be an average-above average team every year.

If we were in the ACC in 2011-2013, we'd have 3 BCS bowl appearances. You can't deny that. The only reason we didn't go to a BCS bowl was the stupid 2 per conference rule.

It was a slow start, but we're just fine in the SEC. One 3 win season doesn't mean we're going to just disappear.
