I see many Alabama fans downplaying Leonard Fournette's current and future greatness because he (and the entire offense) has struggled against Alabama. Common sense obviously tells you that a running back is only as good as his offensive line, play-calling and an offensive gameplan in it's entirety. Regardless, I have put together his stats below:

STATS
2014: 21 carries, 79 yards
2015: 19 carries, 31 yards, 1 TD

This brings me to my next question... Should Mark Ingram's "greatness" be downplayed after his awful career against Auburn?

STATS
2008: 15 carries, 64 yards, 2 TD
2009: 16 carries, 30 yards ("Heisman" season)
2010: 10 carries, 36 yards, 1 TD, 1 lost fumble

I'll hang up and listen...

ETA: Player performance is taken into account and not game outcome.

I don't even think Bama fans would go that far. He was a solid running back, but great?

Leonard Fournette is 10x the player Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, TJ Yeldon or Derrick Henry will ever be.

Except that one was considered a great back, and one wasn't.

Therein lies the disparity.

So you add Ingram's receiving fumble, but not his 140 yards receiving? Holy Framing batman

41 carries for 130 yards, 3 TDs, 2 West titles, and a SECC and NC vs. 40 carries for 110 yards, 1 TD and a couple of minor bowls.

You knew the answer before you asked the question, didn't you?

That was the most remarkable, physics denying, and crazy fumble I've ever seen.

31 yards happens when the play caller is calling run, run, run, run....

See this is where you are wrong. Most Alabama fans are fully aware of how great Fournette is and we know how great he will continue to be. His performance vs Alabama is just a great way for us to piss off the L5U fans. Figured you were smart enough to figure this out TT.

What about Henry, Richardson, Yeldon, and Lacy?

1. Mark Ingram had no greatness to begin with.

2. LF never quit on his team against bama like Ingram did against Auburn.

3. A little more understandable getting shutdown by bama's front 7 than by Auburn's.

TT, when Auburn goes 6-6 next year and Alabama's in the playoffs again, will your posts continue to degenerate to the whinning, butt-hurt level of Phan and his ilk?...I hope not.
