We really need another scoring threat.

They've got to figure out how to make things work with Cooper and Flanigan. Both are so good with the ball, but we've got to get Flanigan more involved off the ball.

Cardwell getting those quick 2 fouls in the first 3 minutes was tough. He basically was a no show bc of it.

When he's in there we have a better D and stronger presence inside.

In the second half we didn't come off their guy enough and they were getting to the basket way too easy. Without Cardwell we have no bulk or power inside.

Lack of D there, and this team not knowing how to handle pressure down the stretch is showing how young we are.

Last night was tough to swallow. It had the exact same feel as the ole miss 19 point lead we blew the year before the final four run. You could see it happening, you could see the players seeing it happen, and it felt like they couldn't do anything to stop it

How do we explain the fact that Auburn is 13th out of 14 teams in the SEC right now?

Is this a function of luck, bad calls, poor coaching or its just the way it is because we are young?

I would say a little bit of all of it. It's unlucky that our 2 biggest producers haven't been on the floor for 1 minute together. I do think when we have Powell and Cooper together, things like a double team on Cooper won't work.

Bad calls happen. Part of the game, and unfortunately, a big part in the SEC. Sharif was mugged, should have been a foul and would have won the game. Arkansas out played us for the last half though.

Poor coaching is a stretch, but I do feel like the second half got away from Bruce a little when Arkansas could do no wrong on O and we couldn't answer the double team on Cooper.

We are also super young. Add them all up = Arkansas second half.

Nah it’s not like teams have just been crazy hot against us and the Arkansas game was the closest thing to a bad call costing us, and even in that game the call is way down the list of reasons we lost.

I think it’s just a product of being the youngest team in the conference and have yet to play a game with our full roster.

Thankfully most fans seem to understanding of that fact and realize that (assuming everyone returns) we could be a top 10 team to start the year next year.

Tough one. Hard to blow a 19 point lead. Defense was beyond atrocious in the second half.

That's on Bruce

Powell is still not cleared but Pearl said he is making progress so maybe it won't be too much longer

Every article says he was in concussion protocol, but I’ll take your word for it

Yea, I think that seems to be the consensus. I dont buy the "bad call" BS. Every team has bad calls. They dont put you in the cellar of the league.

I know football is different than basketball as it baseball but why are we so "young". Meaning inexperienced. We have been recruiting well for the past 6 years now. I know that we lost a lot to the league last year but didnt other players have some experience?

I have not watched that much this year due to a lack of time but I did see the first half of last game and we looked pretty good. If you look at the standings, we are bad right now. Seems crazy to have such a fall off

From personal experience with an injury like that, I figured Mahomes had a neck/spinal disc injury rather than a concussion when I saw the slow-motion replay. They can be incredibly disorienting, and concussions don't generally happen without some sort of blow to the head.

I obviously have no clue what the reality of his actual injury was though.
