McGarity said they couldn't lock anyone down. Another savvy PR move by Ears.
ETA: Looks like Ludacris might be playing.

Kirby even said this morning on 680 we would have the Dawgwalk, live music and more.....damn, that's sad

I'll fart into a microphone for a case of beer and a candy bar

It sounds like they were trying to lock down a big named act and the timing just didn't work. Honestly I'm pretty thrilled to hear we were going after someone big...hopefully this will continue for years to come

Well,IMO this makes UGA look silly, and at the hands of Bigears McGarity. No excuse for this. How long has he had to plan this??? I just hope the team isn't as disappointed as I am

I doubt the team gives a shite.

This. Team just wants to go hit someone, play live in front of 93k, shoot BBs, smoke weed, and get some strange.
BTW - focus over the next few days we have left of practice will be on UNC

That sounds like another frick-up by our administration. I know several people that haven't gone to G-day in the past that said they are excited to go, because of a new coach, a musical act and all the hype. For people like us, who go every year, it doesn't actually matter, but for new people they are going to be disappointed.
There are a TON of musical groups from Ga, how the heck can The University of Georgia not get 1 to play in front of 93k people??

Better yet, how can we get Fetty Wap to play in Stegeman coliseum on a Tuesday night but can't get anyone to play in Sanford on a Saturday afternoon?

I'm a big fan obviously, but if I was a musical act I'd be a little leery of only having a 15 minute set time. I mean that's like 2 songs.

I'm not a fan but TI plays Hawks halftimes like once a month and he's a decently big wrap act.

I just think it's crazy that they'd announce a concert to everyone without having a commitment. At the very least have a reasonable idea. Or, idk, actually friggin google the acts you were thinking of and see their schedule.
This isn't why I want Greg gone but it certainly adds to his burgeoning resume of incompetence.

I didn't think it was halftime, but rather after the DawgWalk, before kickoff.
