I think Saban thinks it is dumb and has no value but I don't think he did much of anything to curtail it (as opposed to the fast play stuff).

The Council approved a proposal applicable to the Football Bowl Subdivision that would require those schools to conduct camps and clinics at their school’s facilities or at facilities regularly used for practice or competition. Additionally, FBS coaches and noncoaching staff members with responsibilities specific to football may be employed only at their school’s camps or clinics. This rule change is effective immediately.
Does this mean that coaches can't bring in speakers to camps. I know Bama usually has some speakers come in to the various camps.

USA Today article...

The SEC and ACC got their way.
The NCAA Division I Council on Friday closed a loophole in the rulebook that allowed so-called “satellite camps” for football recruiting away from campus. The SEC, which already prohibited holding camps off campus, had initiated the push to apply its rule nationally.
The new rule requires Football Bowl Subdivision schools “to conduct camps and clinics at their school’s facilities or at facilities regularly used for practice or competition.”

That is usually what Saban does. I was thinking maybe the rule was saying only your program's coaches could work your camps.
