What opinion would change? That he recruits great talent and wins with them?
That he did that at schools that aren't of kentuckys stature and that those schools were just ripped apart by sanctions after he left?
That I don't think he's doing that shady stuff at Kentucky?

Why are uk fans so defensive about cal? Nothing is going on at uk right now. He's done that stuff in the past. He doesn't have to be put on some pedestal to be a good coach or good for uk. He's not even close to an angel as a coach. So what

He was the coach so he has to be guilty even though the NCAA says he wasn't associated with the problems that caused the vacating of the FF wins?

What I love, UK is out of the tourney and Cal is a master getting us back in the media. He is a genius and recruits are eating this shite up. Word going around we are about to pick up Bolden. The incoming class is plain arse nasty.

In a way, this is the heart of the issue. UK fans do put the basketball coach on a pedestal and some fans of other schools want to knock him off it.

They use that excuse way too much. These coaches surround themselves with who they want and they tell them what they want. Do people really think coach cal is the one setting up the fake sat scores for dozier and rose. But they make it clear to not get them involved.
Dozier was rejected by Georgia for this issue but cal opened up his arms to this guy. Some guys do what they got to do. There weren't any shortcuts in the nba though. What a flameout that was

What? This was his worst defensive team while at UK (ranked 57th in KenPom). I think Cal did a good job hiding the decencies this team had. An ineffectiant Skal and inconsistent Alex was going to bite us in the arse. I think it was good coaching for us to win the regular season championship with the conference tourney. This year crop of freshman sucked coming out of high school and it will show in the upcoming draft.
You yahoos can hate all you want, but Cal has UK in the discussion and we are not in the tourney. He is one hell of a salesman and is working the system that is in place and basically telling kids he is all about them.

Do you know why the FFs at UMass and Memphis were vacated by the NCAA?
UMass - Marcus Camby accepted gifts from agents. Coach reported it to the NCAA.
Memphis - Derrick Rose was ruled ineligible after the season ended. The NCAA had certified him eligible to play before the season began, Memphis played him and then the NCAA reversed itself at season's end.
Tell me how Coach could control either of those situations.
