Parents are passing through town on their way to New Orleans today and are hoping to catch a good spot to eat in. They will generally try or eat anything though the "healthier" the better (so maybe avoid the pizza places/burger joints)
Any serious recommendations would be much obliged

City Grocery and Ajax are both on the square and fantastic in my opinion. 2 of the most popular restaurants in town

Drive to Tupelo. Eat something there.

The slop trough, (traffic sp?), aka a sorority house.

Hmmmm... healthy is not really what we are all about. Ajax is my favorite and one of the more old school Oxford joints.

Can't go wrong since you can count the eatable restaurants on one hand in that crappy little town.

Ajax - Not particularly healthy soul food, but mom could go with the veggie plate.
If Meatloaf and Mashed potatoes aren't their thing,
Volta - delicious Greek spot not far from the Square
They could always take a few laps around the Square to see what catches their nose.

Tell them to stop and eat in Tupelo. Woody's is better than anything you'll find in Oxford.
Woody's Steakhouse

What's the deal with Arkansas fans on tRant and hating Oxford? Is our Wal-Mart not up to par for you?

City grocery or McEwens- both on the square
BBB (big bad breakfast) on north Lamar.
Ajax is delicious but not at all healthy.
Anywhere on the square is good.

The Sonic is a good place to get some chili cheese fries and fight a racist.
