spot on. he flaunts his greatness and shows his glaring flaws in equal volumes. he is loud and unpleasant, and i really wish he would mature, but he shows no sign that he intends to.

You should never have posted all the scores , it doesn't help your point.
In the top half of the list , top 16, you have 3 SB winning QBs.
In the bottom half , bottom 16, you have 4 SB winning QBs.
W test rarely proves anything.
I'm not a Cam fan, and in light of his PR blunder Sunday night; your an idiot if you don't think he's one of the best QBs right now. He is the first QB that plays on the high end of both dual threat abilities. You can hate him because you think he has an ego, you can hate because he plays for the wrong team or went to the wrong school, but you can't deny his talent!

Hey I will be the first to say Cam handled this poorly and he needs to learn from this and grow up and mature but this level of obsession is indicative that you need help.

That list appears to have zero correlation to on-field production.
The Wonderlic is not to predict production. It is to predict intelligence. You can be intelligent and still make poor decisions.
In the case of a QB, it supposedly gives an indication of whether the individual is capable of making the correct decisions, not that he WILL make the correct decisions. (Also if he can make the decisions quickly and under pressure)

Your data seems to suggest that raw talent/athletic ability is a lot more important than intelligence at the QB position which honestly is not that surprising considering the overall nature of football. Apparently reading defenses, etc. aka the cerebral aspects of the QB position aren't a big deal when you are 6'6' 250lbs, can throw the ball 60 yards like a rocket and have uncanny speed and agility for your size.

You are stretching hard for this one.
The NFL Scouting Combine uses the Wonderlic Personnel Test (WPT-R), which measures a person’s ability to think, learn, solve problems and follow instructions – all critical traits a football player needs to have, particularly one coming into the NFL, where gameplay is much faster and decisions must be made in the blink of an eye. The Wonderlic test does not measure whether or not a potential player can read, spell, or do math; it doesn’t look at their motivation and their personality on or off field. There are other test for measuring these traits.

You should remember that the NFL updates/changes the test every so often, however, here is a web site that claims that you can take one of the tests at their site and compare your score to NFL stars. (I don't know how accurate it is, but here it is if you want to do it for fun)

Character and integrity could save Newton if he had any but he doesn't. He can't help himself. He's just a sh!tty fool.
Cam Newton wore gold cleats with "MVP" and his season stats on them. Look at the wonderlic list of QB's and pick any other QB who would do that.
He is a court jester. A fool.

After reading your posts the past couple of moths, I can't imagine you'd do any better than Cam on any kind of standardized test.

The wonderlic is culturally discriminatory bro

All I got from this thread is that the Wonderlic is worthless when it comes to football players.

That makes ZERO sense. A 21 on the Wonderlic is the equivalent of an IQ score of 100. A score of 100 is commensurate with most unskilled occupations. Newton was born with exceptional size and athletic skills but no brains. The average IQ score required to pass a minimum college entrance exam is 110. If he had even a little maturity he could overcome his ignorance but he doesn't. That's a product of his parental influence and values. I wouldn't trust Newton to babysit a Hamster.
He is obviously intelligent enough to play the position...he was the league MVP this season. He obviously isn't intelligent enough to correlate post game interviews with image/branding. His pouting could cost him endorsement money in the future...but it won't impact his play on the field.

Because Under Armour was selling the cleats. You act like he had those specially made. They sold them at $500 a pair and sold out fairly quickly. I'm sorry that concept is over your head.

I'd like to see what Terry Bradshaw (16, found it) or Kenny Stabler would have scored.
