Rodney Orr had changed his very positive tune on Ruggs this morning to a "there's a lot of nervousness/butterflies" about him possibly choosing FSU from inside the Bama program. Orr is leaning Bama slightly, but word is that Jimbo and Brewster have been hammering him on our feeble passing game toward the end of the season. Hopefully we can reel him in. Losing Ruggs would sting. He's the kind of elite athlete that helps us maintain our edge.

This class has elite talent but it would suck badly to miss in Solomon Ruggs and Mathis.

Also, Orr, who has never really thought Michigan was his likeliest destination (has thought it would ultimately come down to Bama/Ugag), is leaning toward taking UM right now.

Jeudy and shavers by themselves us a good receiver haul. Jeudy is a Cooper/Ridley type, smooth, fast, polished. shavers is a type we haven't had since julio, tall, strong, but also fast. The guy is 6'6" and can run sub 4.4, with a 37" vert. Now it would be great to get Smith or Ruggs, explosive slot guys, but even if we miss on both we had a good haul. DL is the most pressing thing

Bone just said that as of late last night and today that Alabama feels FSU has the edge right now and that they are hopeful in 24 hours that will change. Ruggs has a lot of people in his corner that are wanting him to go to Bama (i.e. Phidarian Mathis situation).

Don't forget about Townsend, he is going to be a very good receiver too.

I think this is an obvious pitch from FSU, but I also think Napier leaving at the last minute didn't help us either...
