The following was adopted with the Council's vote:
One conference championship football game conducted in either of the following ways:
i) A game between division champions of a member conference that is divided into two divisions (as equally balanced as possible), each of which conducts round-robin, regular-season competition among the members of that division; or,
ii) A game between the top two teams in the conference standings following a full round-robin regular-season schedule of competition among all members of the conference.
For those who thought pods might make it with the ACC proposal, that appears DOA.

Good. Big 12 should never have made the playoff playing less games.

They played 9 conference games, tho.

So the Big not 12 gets what they wanted. That sucks.
Now the second place team, after having lost to the first place team, gets a do-over. Let's say Baylor beats Texas by 35 in the round robin game and then gets edged on a last second field goal in overtime in the "championship" game.
Sucks.

They need to force Notre Dame to pick a conference or not let them be eligible to play in the playoffs.

I think they got what they wanted only because the B1G and SEC made sure to not give the ACC what they wanted.

This has the potential to happen in the SEC every year.

I think you're right. The ACC wanted to be the first to go to pods and now that possibility is dead.

It is now automatic every year in the B12.

Wow. Some fans on this site really oppose do-overs.

Having a full round robin AND a CCG is stupid
