It's going to be a two horse race, Deshaun Watson and Chad Kelly.

McCaffrey, Fournette & Cook will battle it out for the one RB invite.

Deshaun Watson and McCaffrey, everyone else is on the outside looking in.

Add Kizer from Nd, Freeman from Oregon, Mayfield.....it will be the most stacked Heisman race ever. It will depend on who the media believes is the best leader on the best team.

The national media is all aboard on McCaffrey. He's going to have to have a shite year to not get invited to New York.

Kelly will have an outside chance if he can keep the turnovers in single digits. He had 4,551 yards and 41 touchdowns this year. Those numbers place him at third (Manziel has both of two best yardage seasons) and seventh respectively on the SEC's single season yardage and touchdown lists.

If he's close to the same numbers next year with 9 or fewer turnovers an invite to New York wouldn't surprise me.

Edit: He was also only the third quarterback in league history to go over 4,000 yards passing in a season (Tim Couch and Johnny Manziel are 1 and 2).

Of course by week 10 we will have a much clearer view of the race. The problem is McCaffrey having such an incredible season again. That is the one thing that I hate. The expectations for him will be so high

Deshaun Watson clearly the front-runner.

He didnt tank on the big stage.

according to who, you?

kelly is good but he's not going into '16 as any sort of heisman front runner.

Not sure about Kelly. Ole Miss' dominant run game may distract too much from his accomplishments next year.

Kelly and Chubb may start out in race but too many losses will be their demise. Stanford and Clemson will be good and push their guys forward. LSU could be good enough but west coast will push mccaffrey ahead.
