Can we just go ahead and call Alabama running back u already? The best part is the 2 guys behind Henry are just as good!
How about Hype U?
Since 2009, here are all the kids in the SEC who have averaged at least 100 yards rushing per game, with a minimum of 10 games:
1) Leonard Fournette (2015): 158.3 yards/game
2) Derrick Henry (2015): 152.8 yards/game
3) Tre Mason (2013): 129.7 yards/game
4) Trent Richardson (2011): 129.2 yards/game
5) Anthony Dixon (2009): 126.5 yards/game
6) Cameron Artis-Payne (2014): 123.7 yards/game
7) Nick Chubb (2014): 119.0 yards/game
8) Mark Ingram (2009): 118.4 yards/game
9) Jeremy Hill (2013): 116.8 yards/game
10) Alex Collins (2015): 116.0 yards/game
11) Johhny Manziel (2012): 108.5 yards/game
12) Cameron Newton (2010): 105.2 yards/game
13) Ben Tate (2009): 104.8 yards/game
14) Michael Dyer (2011): 103.5 yards/game
15) Montario Hardesty (2009): 103.5 yards/game
16) TJ Yeldon (2013): 102.9 yards/game
17) Knile Davis (2010): 101.7 yards/game
Here are how many per school:
Auburn has 5 (#3, #6, #12, #13, & #14)
Alabama has 4 (#2, #4, #8, #16)
LSU has 2 (#1 & #9)
Arkansas has 2 (#10 & #17)
Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M each had 1.
**Also note that Gurly and Chubb each had a season cut short due to injury when they for sure would have made the 100 yards/game threshold.
Mark Ingram is the most overrated Heisman runningback in the trophy's history.
While Alabama has had a good string of runningback for the past 7 years, its quite a stretch to call it "Runningback U"
Not with other programs like Georgia, Auburn, and LSU having such great RB pedigrees.

I can say clearly because it's clear to everyone but you people.
You need to state your case. This is how the debate works.

Your long post didn't really say anything. I don't really see the point

Except one is just a freshman, and another is coming off an ACL injury in spring. It's remarkable he's even gotten carries tbh

As of late we are def rbu, but who are the 2 that are just as good as Henry? Because I sure as hell have no idea who your talking about. Bo has potential but hasn't done a damn thing, and I sure as hell hope your not putting Harris and Henry in the same sentence?

No. 4/7 seasons.
And this "very limited just the last few years" time frame is the high water mark for Bama running backs. Prior to Saban, Bama had a very lackluster running back pedigree by "Big 6" standards
Still to this day, the highest a bama player ranks in the all-time career rushing yards list in SEC history is #12 all-time (Shaun Alexander).
LSU (3), Auburn (2), Florida (2), Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Mississippi State all have running backs higher on the list than Bama's best all-time (in terms of career yardage).

Last 6 years
Two RB Heismans
6 RB Sent to the NFL
2 First Rd'rs
There is no other school who has done more in that timeframe, so sure, y'all can be RBU.

Great for their college career. End game for their future in the NFL. Dead leg U.

Ingram, Lacy and Yeldon have all been pretty productive in the NFL. Richardson....in obscurity at Oakland.
LSU has had a lot of success with their WR's. Randle, LaFell, Landry and Beckham have been very good.
Funny thing about the LSU receivers including Dwayne Bowe, they all have one head coach in common....Les Miles. Kinda makes the whole LSU's passing offense thing seem stupid

I think you can count Ingram. Who, even with him now being on IR, has started more games in 2015 than every LSU running back in the NFL combined.

The guys behind Henry aren't as good right now. Otherwise, Henry would've had 100 less carries and no Heisman.

The guys behind Henry were freshman and we rely on solid and reliable running to win games. However, both are 5 stars and both were considered the of best RBs coming out of high school.
You can dispute this, but you'll likely be in the wrong come this time next year. When was the last time Alabama didn't have a good running game?
