The rumblings I've heard in South Beach are that The U wants an experienced leader, and some are saying that Kines may be the ticket. Interesting.

He may go as Shula's DC.

Wow, didn't he retire a few years ago?
He was our DC many, many years ago but pretty much ran our practices under Pell. I will always remember for the rest of my life what he use to say every morning during practice... "GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE". You just finished puking your guts out from a conditioning drill and he would keep saying it while smiling. Years later, I often repeated this in my mind whenever times were tough.
Great guy that really cares about people. You never, ever wanted to get in his doghouse. Not sure he should take on that dumpster fire in Souf Beach.

71...one year older than the Old Ball Sack...I mean, Coach.
Who are the oldest coaches out there right now?
Beamer - 69
Solich - 71
Snyder - 76
Coker - 67
Chow - 69
I know I've missed some...but how many other active FBS coaches are out there over the age of 65?

That glorious interview should've been in the op. It's one of those clips that doesn't get played often enough. For years, I think we should have had Kines on the sideline, with bullhorn and a bottle of whiskey, showing the Aggies how a real man cheers.

Joe is a Great man. Very humble, honest and was as hard a worker as they come.
He coached some great defenses and some great players.
