So Charlie Strong and I had a moment today...

... Exiting the fairgrounds as the tu buses pull up just behind my gf, my sis and I and stop. I look over and there's Chollie with a shite eating grin, flashing me a "hook 'em..." So naturally I give him the biggest gig em possible, he laughs and shakes his head, then we both nod in mutual respect.
Damn, I really like that guy so I want him to succeed, but I hate me some texas.

As do I.
Ergo, I hate me some charlie.
HOWEVER, I want him to stick around and continue to be Sumlin's recruiting punching bag.

Yeah, but I'm afraid that he will eventually be successful if they keep him. They fire him, then that's at least another three years of clusterfrick they have to overcome.

If he can be their version of Fran, that'd be perfect.

I want him there at least one more year and if he goes 6-6 next year he's gone and we get at least 2 more down years outta them while they install a new system and try and recruit for it.

Isn't sports interesting? Fully expected the sips to get humiliated today. Didn't see any way around it. Some people facing humiliation just submit to it. Charlie didn't. Give the man credit. Today was a shocker to anyone who follows the game. Wtf is up with OU? How can this be explained? Is there any way that Bobby can survive this??? Seriously, can Bobby survive this?
Today was a good day for Texas A&M.

They were overrated at #10. They came from behind to beat a slightly better-than-average Tennessee. Baylor and TCU are going to crush them.

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.
OU is going the way of Nebraska, and they can't stop it.

PS: my questions were rhetorical.

He is their version of Fran on the field, but make no mistake he is 10x the man Fran is. I have some stories about his time here that would make your skin crawl, to the point where I'm not comfortable posting them with names.
Strong is a good guy who will land on his feet, but he is just horrible for that job at that school. And I love it.

I believe it. Fran was a snake. Met/talked with him a few times and he always gave me the creeps.

Several players who will remain nameless were not allowed by him to miss practice for sick/dead/dying family members. He said they would be cut if they did.
Stuff like that

Are you for real?
I knew he was a prick but god damn that's straight foul.

Yeah I can consign on Fran. One of my HS buddies played for Fran but was recruited by RC. He hates Fran to this day.

I called it over on texags earlier this week, they had a thread about ou+17 being free money. Two years ago in mack's last year sips actually won, and last year ou only won by 4, ou is overrated there no doubt about that but they still are a better team than tu, big game bob just always manages to find a way to play down to them.

Leone shared his story on Texags Radio; so it's ok.

I don't gamble (not for any high-falutin' moral reasons--I'm just a tightwad and it isn't fun for me ), but isn't it a general rule of thumb to avoid betting on rivalry games? I mean, if something unexpected is going to happen in college athletics, that's the type of game it'll happen in.

It's THE rule. Second rule is not to bet on your favorite team.
But I've broken the second rule plenty of times...and lost
