Why did CBS select A&M/Bama over LSU/Florida?

I don't want this thread to devolve into baseless insults. I want to say right up front: It's way better to have a night game on your home field than an afternoon game. I congratulate you, Tigers and Gators!
I am curious as to WHY CBS would choose the A&M/Bama game over the LSU/Florida game. Bama just recently lost to Ole Miss, and they are playing on the road against maybe the third best team in Texas. LSU, on the other hand, is undefeated, with the Heisman frontrunner, in the middle of an unprecedented strin of 200+ yard games, and they get a perennial power like Florida, who is also undefeated, in Baton Rouge.
And yet, for all that, CBS choose to air the A&M/Bama game. My question is simple...why?

Is this another attempt at finding a moral victory by A&M fans? Just another day at the office.

Didnt realize CBS could cause this much of a meltdown.

It will be the only time CBS is at A&M this year to see the renovated stadium.

Probably because CBS has already broadcast Florida. IIRC, there's a limit to the number of times a single team can be featured by CBS.

Bama.
Interesting theory. Thanks for your input!
Do you really think Bama's program is far in front of LSU's that their games are more interesting to the general public even when they are playing nobodies, and even when they have a loss, then LSU games are, even when LSU is undefeated with a Heisman frontrunner and playing an undefeated Florida squad?

all that has to be said
Aggy can have this moral victory if it makes them feel better :)

Bama on the upswing after demolishing UGA. A&M undefeated but has yet to play anyone the quality of Bama.
Jury still out on UF? LSU?? Undefeated but an not the hot flavor this week.

Well, CBS has already broadcast Bama twice.

Not one LSU or UF fan is upset.
Bama is the answer to your question. You know, most trailer park residents don't have ESPN, but they can use a HD antenna to watch CBS.
