Ole Miss can't stop the run for an entire game, but if they stop it early will Kiffin and Saban abandon it? That is the determining factor in my opinion. I think Bama 31-20

I think this is the key. Bama will come out with a lot of intensity and want to pound us early. It will take our offense time to settle down and find weaknesses in the defense.

Can our defense keep it close the first quarter or two? If so, we'll have a good chance in the second half. But I'm really worried about the first 3 or 4 drives by Bama. I'm not convinced our between-the-tackles defense is better than last years.

It WAS basically a scrimmage. MTSU hit Bama with some stuff early they hadn't seen. Then it was all scrimmage. Wouldn't read too much into that game.

And OM's games weren't? So we're all supposed to excuse this fact with Bama, but when talking OM it's ignored. Got it. Bama by 40 it is...

Fully expect him to come out motivated. Just like I expect Treadwell to have a career day when we go to Auburn. That's for another day though...

Bama fans think OM wins this. I have to agree they look too explosive on offense to hold them down and our offense is struggling throwing the ball down field. OM will stack the box and force Coker to beat them. If we can run on this front seven no one will stop our run game.

I'm just worried that after we win this game Kelly is going to go full retard and get busted on a DUI and heroin charge.

I am. I hate that we lost Gross for the year, but Woody Hamilton has really come on. And Breeland Speaks is going to become a nightmare for other SEC teams. Have you watched him? The improvement and better depth is so remarkable that our coaches feel confident in moving Nkemdiche outside to DE for some groupings.

ETA: Also, Jones.

The Bama front will be up Kelly's arse the entire game. I look for Treadwell or Adeblablah to have 7 or 8 possession catches as a safety valve against the blitz but it won't amount to enough and Kelly will have a meltdown at some point.

Bama, 27-10.

I saw on the Twitter that we've scored 6 of our touchdowns running the same play up the middle with

We've also had like 4 pick 6s. Guess they should have took knees.

Bama 38
Ole Miss 24

LSU beat Sam Houston and New Mexico State every bit as convincingly as Ole Miss beat their two cupcakes this year, and we all remember how that offense turned out.

Ole Miss' offense is improved, but not as much as it seems.

Freeze being totally devoid of any semblance of class doesn't mean his team is any better than a team that calls off the dogs in the second half of a big blowout.

Worried about a lot of the match ups in this one. Ole Miss receivers on Alabama's DBs. Alabama's shaky QB play against a very good and aggressive Ole Miss D. Alabama's PK against the gods.

I'm glad it's at home for Alabama. I think Ole Miss would win, and maybe convincingly, in Oxford.

Alabama's DL should be able to make Ole Miss one-dimensional by taking away any Ole Miss running game without committing extra guys to the box. Will be up to the Alabama LBs and DBs to contain the passing game and they should be able to play in the nickel and dime formation to do it for the most part if necessary.

So who are you picking brah?

Ole Miss in a squeaker. 34-31

If it is a shootout ... Ole Miss. Bama's offense will not keep up in a shootout.

I'll take Ole Miss by 3.
