Happy football eve to all my Southern brethren. I'm here for good old fashioned red-blooded 'Murican football talk. Lots of shite talked about the B1G and I get it. But I think that Penn State will get their act together and win 8 or 9, scUM with Hairball will win 9 or 10. MSU North will win 10 games I think, at least. Nubby? Who knows? New coach, QB, RB, receivers. They are a mystery shrouded in uncertainty and cloaked in question marks. Wisky is like LSU (and Minnesota)- a QB who can actually move the ball five yards ahead is missing from the roster. Y'all have some outstanding athletes in the SEC. Would any fans south of Kentucky or Missouri (Arky gets some cold weather) ever consider coming up North in November to watch your teams play against a B1G team or a Northern ACC team if the opportunity presented itself?

Penn State may win 8 or 9, but they are dog shite. Winning 8 in the Big Ten is equilavent to making the NIT. It's easy as shite.

WVU would beat everyone everyone in the Big 10 this year, minus OSU. Sparty would be a good game.
WVU would go 7-5 in the SEC.
Hope that put's it into perspective for you.

I'll get Battle on the phone to pick his brain on the thought of playing a northern away game in November. I'll keep you updated.

I'd love to play a series like that. Have you proposed it to our athletic director?

Too scared to play Indiana/Maryland/Illinois/Michigan/Minnesota/Purdue/Rutgers/Northwestern/Iowa + cold weather.
Too intimidating.

North in November

None of us down here has snow tires, chains, or even snow shovels. We don't even have that box of salt used to throw out on the sidewalk so we don't slip in the snow getting to our cars
We don't fight over the one sunny parking spot, so our cars will be a bit higher than -5 degrees on the inside the next morning before we drive to work.
The most we do to prepare for winter is put those 99 cent foam covers over our outside faucets, that is if we don't just tie a couple of old socks around the faucet instead.
There is a reason most Rust Belt cities are losing population.
Now, if you want to talk about have something like the US Open or PGA Championship here in the middle of the summer, then we can laugh at our own selves.

We're in the midst of the really difficult stretch of our in-conference schedule in November (not that a B1G fan would know anything about difficult in-conference schedules). However, Bama has been more than willing to squeeze the B1G in earlier in the season recently and it's always been an enjoyable experience for our fans.
2010: Bama 24 - Penn State 3
2011: Bama 27 - Penn State 11
2012: Bama 41 - Michigan 14
2014: Bama 35 - Wisconsin 17
If an Ohio State University was willing to schedule a ranked out-of-conference team for a change, perhaps we could work something out?

I know you're from Texas, so logic may escape you. I've had the misfortune of living in Lubbock and eastern NM. Before the days of Breaking Bad. But Syracuse, BC, Louisville, Pitt. Technically the most Northern teams in the ACC. Two years ago,UCF had a pretty good team, went up to UCONN and lost. I know those are conference USA but my point still stands. And Texas A&M- you got no room to talk... Ever. OU rolled U 77-0. Let that sink in. And your coach at that time was a Bama retread. Turrible.

Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity told reporters Thursday at the SEC spring meetings that Ohio State backed out of an agreement to play the Bulldogs in 2020 and 2021.
Ohio State-Georgia series canned
does anybody else "up north" in the big ten really want to host an SEC team in November? it's clear ohio state doesn't.

Yeah, which is funny since we were in Dixie last year and Elliott ran for a quarter mile on your vaunted defense. I give Bama credit for scheduling OOC unlike a lot of uneducated Buckeye fans, but don't give me this extremely difficult stretch nonsense in the SEC. A few years ago, y'all were claiming that's why B1G teams couldn't hang with the SEC. Because the SEC is battle tough. Now the narrative has been turned upside down. "Well it's not fair that Ohio State plays us when we are beat up. No wonder they beat us." Make up your minds.,
