We'll we actually lost 2 but did walk away with the mnc

Hopefully he was making the Matt Mauck joke instead of being actually confused.

Matt Mauck lost 2 games in his career. Virginia Tech in 2002 and Florida in 2003.

Yep, I loled at that hard. He was pretty much Jennings just with more snaps. He even had experienced pass catchers and started 4 games the previous year.

Mauk - 270 attempts (5.8 ypa) 48.9% 1573 yards 9 TDs 7 ints
Jennings - 156 attempts (5.7 ypa) 48.1% 883 yards 5 TDs 4 ints

We lost 5 games last year with a QB the caliber of Mauk

That's nearly twice as many yards.
Looking at the five common SEC opponents I'd only take Jennings's performance over Mauk's in the Florida games, but we all know you don't need to pass to beat Florida.
This one stands out:
Alabama
Mauk 34 attempts 47.1% 272 yards 1 TD 0 INT 124.0 QBR
Jennings 26 attempts 30.8% 76 yards 1 TD 1 INT 60.3 QBR
