I think KA was actually a good coach. Our offense was way better than under Haith (aka high pick and let Jordan Clarkson/Jabari Brown try to score) and all the post players KA had improved under his coaching. Deserved to be fired, but still a solid coach imo

Knowing our luck, you are on the Mizzou search committee.

Zero NCAA baggage with Howland.
What does "turn around" mean?

You need about 4-5 years to know whether a football coach is going to succeed (even if it hasn't actually happened yet). Basketball takes half as long.

After two years you should know if you've got a good or bad basketball coach.

Frank Martin would win.

I just don't like his style of basketball. I like winning, but I prefer to win in a wide open style rather than a meat grinder.

Have you ever had the opportunity to talk one on one to KA? He is very lucky that breathing and blinking are involuntary actions. He would suffocate with very dry eyes.

Is he just a dumb jock turned coach?

I had very little opinion until I saw just how terribly coached his teams are.
Sure, it doesn't help.

But Mizzou fans are pretty good for their position. Not many fanbases have been kicked in the nuts repeatedly like Mizzou has. I think the support for Mizzou is really good in context.

After a somewhat disappointing road loss to Oklahoma over a week ago, #TigerStyle got back on the right foot by sweeping a three-match road trip. They’ve dipped to No. 9 in the national team rankings — as if still being a Top 10 team were something to be disappointed about — and they’ve still got a handful of ranked and undefeated wrestlers.

What’s next: The Tigers are now home for the remainder of the season. They only have one match in the upcoming week against Central Michigan (Sunday, 1 pm), but it’s hard to ignore the big date on the schedule: when No. 1 Oklahoma State comes to Columbia on January 27. It’ll be important for the Tigers to not overlook Central Michigan in anticipation, but a win against Okie State would make a 5-0 run to end the season very possible.

Oh it started before he came to the SEC.

Why? NFL pays better and you don't have to recruit. Even as a coordinator.

I enjoy Lowrents as a college town.

Then again, I enjoy the rivalry, I'm not bitter about it.

Probably. I thought he was above average in catching those bullets between two defenders from Gabbert.

Basketball is dumb. It's played mostly by dumb people. There are some really stupid rules. It seems to attract and reward slime-ball middle aged white male coaches. It's not my thing. I openly talk about my limited liking and knowledge of it -- so it's odd to call me out for not knowing shite about it.

So STFU.

CVL sends his blackmail info to the media if he doesn't start.

Lost in reasonable fashion.

This is factually wrong.

A "reasonable" coach reinserts Geist back into the game before Illinois builds the lead back up again.

A "reasonable" coach plays KJ Walton more than three minutes.

A "reasonable" coach keeps CVL primarily on the bench where he belongs.

There is nothing "reasonable" about a Kim Anderson coached game/loss.

Wins are flukes.

that's not a new frustration

The reaction to this game is funny and so very typical of modern fandom. Nothing about this game should have created new frustrations or added to the hate.

No one reasonable thinks he shouldn't be fired, I'm just surprised how stupid Kim is. He's a terrible coach beyond what I previously thought.

And they suck.

That's a winnable game if Mizzou were even top 100.
