Texas blown out. Player tweeting about transferring during halftime. Please please please fire a position coach today.

Maybe 3 weeks ago I posted that the horn AD was like the 12 days of Christmas. I'm going to revise that to the 3 months of Christmas.
It isn't just the win-loss columns. It's the blowouts, the Patterson drama, players tweeting that they should transfer to a rival DURING HALFTIME, the kicking woes, the Rangers tweeting that Charlie should be fired ( LINK), firing both OCs 1 game into the season, all of it. This is a program in complete disarray from top to bottom and it's beautiful.

Rangers tweeting fire Charlie is hilarious. Classless, but hilarious.

Apparently somebody was fired for it
quote:
The Rangers Twitter handle tweeted "Fire Charlie.# bye" while TCU was leading Charlie Strong's Longhorns 50-0. The tweet has been deleted. The Rangers apologized in a statement that read in part: "The tweet was posted by a member of the team's social media department who was neither working for the Rangers nor was at Globe Life Park today. Effective immediately, that individual is no longer employed by the Rangers."

We have one mixed marriage in the family and I was talking to my sip cousin in law and asked about the next AD-"it will be Luck" me "it can't see Luck leaving where he is since he's going to be running the NCAA in a couple years" sip cousin in law "the Texas AD job is more prestigious" they are still arrogant, I hope this lasts for years.

They pretty much have to find a way to fire Charlie this year and make a BIG splash-hire on the level of Chip Kelly or a mega-strong aggressive recruiter like Herman or they're fricked at least 5 years.
The reason is recruiting. After today, and with A&M, TCU, and Baylor all winning right now, LSU doing their usual poaching in the Houston are and Ultra-Cheaters Ole Miss now stealing top kids, Charlie's recruiting is going to absolutely flop this year. Give him another year and he'll deliver another flop that whomever they hire will have to shore up the best he can but ultimately won't really be able to salvage. At that point, they will have the #24, #12 (of which several top guys either didn't qualify or quit before the season), #flop, and #flop classes on campus for whomever the new guy is and he'll lose at first just solely on lack of talent alone.

They've got a problem on their hands. Chollie's gotta do something to make them think there's good reason for hope. OU game might be make or break.

Isn't Strong's buyout something like 15mil$?
They already have laid him something like $11mil for UL buyout plus salary. They are so fricked

Was reading through the shaggytexas a&m/state game thread and...
Aggie asked: "what's with the lights in the stands?"
Sip answered: "those are cell phones tweeting kris Boyd"
Also, what was up with those lights? Actually looked pretty sweet on tv.

no idea about the lights.
It seemed like it started with some Corps guys who got the shaft with seats up in the top of the new endzone (same area where one of the pregame fireworks went into the stands instead of firing up) and then spread but I'm not completely sure. Whoever started it the crowd picked up on it and it spread pretty quick though.

Yeah if that happened organically that's pretty crazy because it was the entire stadium.
