Serious Question: Why no respect for the two-time SEC East-winning Yankee Ruffians

What exactly is different about UGA and Tenn (or Missouri for that matter) that makes everybody pick them 1 and 2?
I suspect It's a bit of buying into the unwarranted "big six" hype and talking from asses.

Missouri will win the East again this yr

UGA and UT have more talent on paper.

Missouri is like a really boring story that everyone is to polite to interrupt

Just talent? They had more talent last year....and the year before.

Because winning the East doesn't mean shite. It's been 7 years since an East team won the SECCG.

Mizzou lost some great DE's that were game changers. Dobbs is a more athletic Mauk. Georgia's o-line and running backs are arguably the best in the league.

Because they sucked last year and everyone knows it. They backed into the sec championship after losing to Indiana and being held scoreless at home against Georgia. They did fine against the middle of the road teams last year and good to them for that but they were not impressive in the least.
They could be vastly improved this year and I'll give them all the props they can handle but I ain't giving them shite after last year.

Indiana = 2014 SEC East Champion

Well that's all we have to judge preseason on isn't it.

Mizzou's inability to beat good teams doesnt help with their perception, and they don't return a ton of starters like UT or stars like UGA.

Nailed it. Tennessee will definitely suck arse this year.

I think Mizzou fans actually feel not as confident this year either. The losses of Ray, Golden, and Brantley (just for this season) are brutal on defense. On offense they lost their 3 biggest playmakers I believe (Hansborough, Sasser, Murphy) and getting smoked by UGA last year in head to head, along with getting trounced by Bama in the SECCG gives people a bad taste. I don't doubt Pinkel can have them in the race and even win the East, but any team who loses that much quality (outside of maybe Bama) in the league is going to project to be worse the next season.

This.
In 2013 they got beat home by SC, a team that finished higher than them in the national polls.
In 2014 they got hammered by UGA at home, and then lost to IU.
They also got thumped in both title games.
SC suffers from the same knock for our 2010 SECe winning and SECCG appearance.

In 2010 when USC won the East, everyone downplayed it due to the East being down. USC also had to beat then-#1 ranked Alabama who had won 19 straight heading into Williams-Brice, and also faced Auburn in Jordan Hare who would go undefeated and win the MNC...
Over the past 2 seasons Missouri has not faced either Alabama, Auburn, or LSU in the regular season - those 3 teams were the top 3 in the West in 2013. They also didn't face either Ole Miss or Miss St. last season, who were among the top 3 of the West along with Bama.
Missouri is 4-5 over the past 3 seasons since joining the SEC against USC, UGA, and UF who have been arguably the East's top 3 teams in that time. Over the past 2 seasons the only OOC opponent from a Power Five conference they have played in the regular season has been Indiana, and they are 1-1 against them.....

True we do have holes to fill at WR & DL

Hansborough is back as is 4 of 5 starting OL, who on here last year besides Mizzou fans had heard of Sasser???

Legit and true statement
Here is the issues though Mizzou's schedule sets up way and I mean way better then either UGA or UT. Both teams have more talent but experience and coaching are on the side of Mizzou. I say it is a toss up between the three with UT slightly behind. Sorry Vol fans but you have to Show Me you can do it first. Also with the Mizzou decade of hell from the 80's/90's people just refuse to believe in Mizzou. The only way to rid the taint of that era is to win the big one. Mizzou has gotten close but has yet to break through.

How does mizzou return more experience than ut and Uga?

Winning a division doesn't mean much. I could not care less if auburn wins the west if we don't win the conference.
