I cheat too. Considering that I eat 42-56 meals a week, some of them are going to be shitty. I just try to keep most of them clean. Fact is, I can midget-toss most 20-somethings and I'm damn near 42. I don't compete or anything, so I'm not worried about chiseled abs or striations. As long as I can adequately defend myself (I'm a cop) and bitches want to hit this, I'm good. I'm not looking for trophies, just a good quality of life....which I have. In fact, my daughter told me today "Paige and Hannah (two of her friends) think you're hot."
Now, I'm happily married and don't dig on younger girls, but that tells me that I'm doing something right.

This is where I'm at. I'm just trying to increase strength and look a little better, without completely giving up the good stuff.

I'm lucky I guess in that I'm one of the few people that really enjoys oatmeal... Like I look forward to eating it every day... Same thing with Greek yogurt and berries.

I eat constantly and have terrible secondary habits, and my only exercise comes from work. I have stayed between 180-190 lbs for the past 10 years regardless of what I have done, which is unfortunate given that my height and slenderness makes me resemble a cracker, bearded Gumby.

I would probably talk shite about obese people if I actually put effort into it, but I can't do it in good faith.

I honestly don't have any desire to do so. Hell, 3 out of 4 people in this country are overweight, and 1 in 3 are obese. Most of us are from the South... Plenty of the people we love are fat. Yet somehow 95% of TD and the SEC Rant are super fit.

I'd like them to lose weight and eat better so they're around longer, not because the sight of them angers me.

Then eat your damn oatmeal, yogurt, and berries. As long as you're slinging the steel and/or hitting the cardio, you'll be fine. I think that what we're talking about here are the morbidly obese who have, literally, eaten themselves into a wheelair. Those people have no one to blame but themselves.

I'm not fit at all, I think. I smoke a pack and a half of cigarettes a day, drink profusely, eat speed, consume 12 cups of coffee in the morning, and burn bowls all the live long day. My doctor expresses great astonishment at my relative health, but suggests to slow down if I don't want to die before I'm 50.

What do you call that? The Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas diet?

I don't have enough cocaine or mescaline to qualify. Dr. Gonzo puts me to shame.

If I cut out the coffee, cigarettes, and amphetamines, I'd probably gain 40 lbs.

Don't get crazy now... Nothing wrong with those bowls or that coffee (as long as we're using 4-6 oz "cups"

I probably drank a quart of coffee or more a day in Colorado. Side work sent me back south, I barely finish my first cup. I lost all humidity tolerance.

I think those bowls provide certain health benefits too. One for certain would be sleep. I finally ran out a couple days ago, and even after taking sleeping pills, I'm still fricking posting at 2:30 am, when I still have another 10 drive tomorrow.

I get about 3-4 hours sleep every night even with heavy smoking. Oddly enough, when I've gone without, I end up sleeping 8-9 hours with crazy arse dreams.

I sleep like crap no matter what, but you're right. It's insane how intense dreams become right after you quit smoking. Though it only seems to stay that intense for a month or two. Then it seems more random.

I remember living in Asheville, NC, and quit for a couple months to get a good job in Nola. I'd quit plenty of times without a hitch. But my roommate sold it, and all of our friends would come by with different strains. I ended up having a few dreams where I smoked, and would wake up in sweats with my heart racing. That was the only time quitting was tough.

Oh yeah... The topic. I've fluctuated. I just gained about 15 while being bored working outside Houston. But I've lost weight before, but usually gain it back when my back spasms kick up.

Keep your calories under 2000, 30-45 of cardio 3-4 days a week, and that shite melts off. Particularly if you're under 40. I'll be home tomorrow (actually, I'm technically homeless, but that's because I moved my stuff in a unit before traveling. One I get back in a routine and can eat well, I'll get back down to my ideal weight.

And was I the only one who watched that video, that was looking for that dude's coke mirror in the background? That fricker is intense.

it's just a small handful of employees that are driving the costs up. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know who they're talking about.

You're a dumbfrick. In almost every case, employees with organ transplants or long term cancer treatment are the few that cost more than budgeted for the plan every year.

Do you have some statistics to back up your assertion that children who eat school lunches are more likely to be obese than children who do not?

Honestly I don't really watch what I eat too closely but I run around 25 miles a week and lift 3-4 times a week. My big things are no soda, no smoking, no candy, nothing more than 1% milk and if I drink coffee I only drink it black. I eat lots of fish, chicken, eggs, green veggies and oats but I'm not a big fan of fruit and eat a lot more red meat and carbs (mostly breads) than I should. I also get way too many calories from liquor/beer during football season.

I've always worked out but started trying to cut out some things is my mid-20s when my blood sugar started creeping up into the mid-high 90s. Cholesterol has always been great around 120-130 and I've never been over 165 at 5'9". My family has a history of BP and cholesterol issues and every grand parent had at least one heart attack so I know I need to keep improving habits.

Ditto.

Throw some flaxseed in there and you're good to go. I eat it with vanilla soy milk and don't use any other sweeteners.
