I hope UAB comes back, fills the stadium for every game, is a success for the university. No doubt there will be some increased fan support at first but what will the crowds be like 3-4 years down the road? Will it be just like it was before?

Where were all these big UAB guys when the seats at games were empty and the team needed support? This is just like all the idiots running around Mobile that start flapping their gums about wanting a sports team and then never support it; just look at the Bay Bears. I hope so, but I'll believe it when I see it. This feels like media posturing and an attempt at image rehab. I wouldn't be surprised to see the BOT shoot it down.

This was UABs plan all along. They knew they were a stagnant program so they sacrificed one year in order to get all the lazy UAB fans to finally come to games and pull out their checkbooks.
