After being the bestest division in CFB history, is it inevitable they take a step back? Was taking it on the chin during bowl season a harbinger of things to come?

Bama- last years champ. Seems that most in the media expect them to take a step back.

Auburn- receiving the hype but will they live up to it?

Ole Miss- probably about the same

Arkansas- a 2 win conference season is seen as an accomplishment

LSU- lulz

aTm- who the hell knows. Could be pretty good. Could suck

MSU- universally thought to take a huge step back

Missouri would be lucky to go 1-6 in that division in 2016.

I think the whole SEC has been inflated the past year or two, but that doesn't mean it's not competitive.

Awwwwww-Weeeeee... You went through all that trouble just to troll LSU? You are special...

SEC West will regain it's throne this year, and LSU will be the ones setting everything back to the way it should be. We gave the bama schools a shot to get it right, and they royally screwed the pooch these past 2 years... It's time for Daddy to show erbody how to do it again.

The bigger question:

How long will Mizzou fans be butthurt about people calling the East "down" when they win it?

Given that the Least is still the SEC's calcutta division, the western teams will pile up wins in those contests. Really, the Least should be the relegation division. When Arkansas finishes last, they should have to go to the East. Whomever lucks into winning the East this year should get a chance to play in a real division.

Yes.

I think if the breaks fall just right, the SEC East champ will lose by less than two touchdowns this time. It's a down year.

Even if it will be a down year, Mizzou will not be in Atl to take advantage.

I think 2014 was a once in a generation type of season for the West. With the current structure, the statistical likelihood that all 7 teams go bowling again is minimal.

So in that sense, they will likely be down compared to last year...but compared to other seasons...thats for the season to decide.

I count no chickens before they are hatched.

The West is only down if neither Alabama, Auburn, or LSU wins is.

We're ya'll beating your chests back in the Big12 when you'd beat up on a down Nebraska team, win the North, and then proceed to get curb stomped in the Title Game.

Fun Fact: Mizzou is 0-4 all time in conference title games.

ETA: they lost those games by a combined score of 201-93.

Not quite sure I see your angle, considering we would of beaten mizzou the last 4 years had you been in the west. Matter of fact, any team from the west probably would have won the east the last couple years.
