That's just great. Another layer to add to our society's fascination with its phone. How about getting off Facebook or stop texting long enough to watch the damn game? I can't believe cell phone service at a game is that big of a deal to some people.

voice is not the problem i want fixed. it's data. i want to watch multiple games at once. i can keep up with more than one game at home so i know i can do it at the stadium during the 1 million hours of commercial breaks

That's actually really nice.
I think more stadiums should have this capability as a matter of security. One thing that tends to happen in crises is that demand overwhelms the communications infrastructure. It happened during Katrina and 9/11 to name a couple.
A lack of information allows rumor and fear to spread, which can be more dangerous than the actual crisis.
