Looks like Adam Sandler's convicts will get a great contribution in the passing game

Will he still face the other murder charges?

Unbelievable that a guy making 8 or 10 million a year playing football is dumb enough to get caught up in murder
It's quite believable when you read about his upbringing.
I don't know why people think a lot of money somehow would make a criminal not want to be a criminal. He just turned into a criminal with money.

Yes, because the Commonwealth of Mass will want to make sure that, just in case, if one of these convictions were to be overturned on appeal the others would still stick.

Damn .... they are already sentencing him.
He's headed to MCI Cedar Junction for life without the possibility of parole.
They've already gone through all of the family members addressing him.
Sheeeesh, they work fast up in Mass!

Mass. can move so fast because this is the only possible sentence for first degree murder there. The appeals process, however, is basically the same as the rest of the nation. But he will be serving time while waiting for that process to play through. The mandatory state law on sentencing for first degree murder is one reason the Boston Bomber was tried in Federal court.

Thank goodness. I was thinking he was going to get off with all the time they were taking. TPOS

12 people infinitely more intelligent than Brandon Spikes, after hearing weeks of testimony and seeing visual evidence, agreed that he was guilty. Has to be unanimous for Murder 1.
These days you can't get 3 people to agree on anything as polarized as this country has become. So, yeah, Brandon, I feel pretty good about the verdict. Sorry you dont.

Lots of tPOSing up in here and that's fine. It is the rant.
I choose not to celebrate. This very talented individual took two lives--his victim's and now his own. It is a horrible situation. I only hope the familes and loved ones can find peace.

In Massachusetts 1st degree murder carries a MANDATORY life in prison sentence so by law his fate was already set in stone.

Quite frankly, I didn't realize Brandon Spiked could read, so there's that.
If I ever have a legal issue, his opinions is definitely the first I will be seeking.

And he also had offers from both Michigan and Notre Dame.
