The dude's black. If he wanted to make a racial slur against a WHITE man, wouldn't he have said something like:
• frick that ******.
Or ...
• frick that *********.
Or, worst of all:
• frick that ***** ****** *** ******* ****.
• frick that ******.
Or ...
• frick that *********.
Or, worst of all:
• frick that ***** ****** *** ******* ****.

Thanks for the lesson.
I disagree.
If something feels wrong, it likely is.
Words matter.

He has a lot of growing to do honestly. He has compartmentalized and rationalized based on his limited life experiences while attempting to "lecture" others.
Pretty silly and sophomoric. I wouldnt call him a moron for having his opinion in general but the lecturing part, based on age, was just a moronic move given the history of racial relations in this country.
He is doubling down on his stupidity though it seems.

Not a racial slur in whose eyes?
Young people can be so stupid at times

UnAnon,I'm sure you a little use for white men over 40.But seek out a black man over 40 that you trust and respect and get his views on the free use of that word.

It's most likely that Harrison and Kaminski have moved on to higher ground while the less socially adept choose to remain stuck in issue.

Are you assuming or implying I haven't done this?

Trust me when I say this. From someone who has worked in both UK and LSU locker rooms in athletics, some of the words that are thrown around with each other is not even close to PC. From football, basketball, baseball, and shite...even tennis and swimmers.
This is so funny watching y'all going ape over this. Even Kaminsky just tweeted this is a non issue.

I can have intelligent formal conversations with any one of any age of any ethnicity if handled and presented respectfully. So yes, I have.

I'm over 35. I'm white. Are you telling me I can say it all I want to now, because it's not a racial slur?
Posted on 4/5/15 at 4:44 pm to WildcatMike
That may be fine for you; it's not for me.
I'm not going "ape" over anything.
I wouldn't choose to express myself in the manner he did, that's all.
To each his own.

No, it just makes you an ignorant kid who will eventually say it at the wrong time and suffer severe repercussions such that you learn that word is never appropriate.

Probably should learn to use it in context. Same way you wouldn't call your girl bitch if it had a negative undertone.

As someone who uses the word in different company, I agree with this. Even if you have no problem with the word, you have to have a sense of professionalism and never forget that in that situation you're an ambassador for your institution and refrain from such cavalier language.

Nyomahgawd, I bet my dad could beat up your dad.

When would calling your girl "bitch" not have negative undertones?
