@NFLosophy: Landon Collins is supposedly the best S in this class, right? He's a solid football player but he's not a game changer.

@NFLosophy: .@Dat_Boy_JMo Collins is solid, not special. He diagnoses well and can blitz, but not terrific in coverage. Doesn't fly around the field.

@NFLosophy: @JoshLiskiewitz I could see Collins as a 2nd rounder but I'd want to wait a little longer for a box player like that.

@NFLosophy: @JoshLiskiewitz If Collins could have hit 4.40, or even 4.45 at the combine, I'd be more apt to use him in deep CF.

@NFLosophy: @JoshLiskiewitz Problem is that at 4.53 he has to get by on anticipation and instincts and still might show up late to the POA.

Came across these tweets and thought they aptly described Collins skills.

Remember what Gus did to him in back-to-back years and you have to think the guy will be abused in the NFL

Unanimous All American and national championship winner Landon Collins? Wish him the best. Incredible ambassador for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide!

Solid player. Gets hyped beyond what he really is due to being linked to Saban and the Alabama hype machine.

I love the fact that you'll never see a thread about auburn's defensive backs. Hell, we don't even know their names.

Troll on, you Crazy Diamond.

He's a lot better than any safety I've seen playing for auburn lately

Poor kid just never was developed. He made a business decision. Lots of kids do. But he just didn't take into account what those short terms gains were going to do to his future.

There wasn't a lot to do in my mom's basement after my nightly session of masturbating and weeping softly to myself, so i was obsessing about Bama on the internet and came across these tweets, and thought they aptly described Collins skills.

Collins was a sold player in college his junior year. Senior year he disappeared for the most part. Sure tackler, average in coverage imo

Literally brought up the 40 yard dash.

Harrison Smith ran a 4.54 and is amongst the best safties in the league. Weddle ran a 4.48 or something like that. It's basically meaningless.

Collins was inconsistent in coverage last season though. At his best he was amazing (Florida and State games come to mind) but he had a couple of really bad ones (Mississippi and OSU). I see him as a late first round, early second type of guy but the talent at safety is seemingly lacking after him so I wouldn't be surprised to see a team scoop him up a bit early.

He was a damn good player for Bama, but he's better against the run. I think he needs to slim down a little.
