Then Auburn needs to sell more season ticket packages. That arena last night was EMPTY and that's playing a premium OCC game
They did sell them out. People just buy them and don't show up. It infuriates me.

Most Auburn fans will admit we have sucked historically in men's basketball. However,I laugh at bammers who think you have some great tradition in the sport. You tout being second in the SEC in winning percentage, but you aren't even in the top 30 nationally in the same category.
UAB has a higher winning percentage in men's basketball than Alabama does. Maybe the Alabama BOT can kill that program as well

This IS the problem. We always have accepted it.

I couldn't care less about basketball. I'll watch us if we're on but Alabama is rarely on in Denver so meh.

quote:Which is it, idiot..."never" or "most"? I've been to many sold out Alabama non conference games in Tuscaloosa. Newton and Wimp would sometimes get an ACC team to come to town and it'd be packed. I vividly remember Lenny Bias (Maryland) almost single handedly beating Alabama one night to a full house.
Alabama basketball has never sold out for most non conference games. Not even when Wimp Sanderson was the coach

Football is just a game.
Basketball is a sport.

What sucks right now is why even try with UK being so dominant. Hell you could get to the postseason as a high seed and may still have to end up playing them to lose again.
I dont know how long Cal can keep this up, but this year is pretty ridiculous.

I certainly wouldn't call Alabama's basketball history "great" but it is suprisingly good considering it gets little attention from outsiders and casual fans.
I haven't looked at the stats lately but Alabama was ranked in the top 35 in the country in both all time wins and winning percentage as recently as a couple of years ago. That could have changed with last year's awful win total.
