I think you're probably a little biased in your assessment, but that's understandable.

(well, Matt Jones without the coke).
His combination of size and speed was rare...

Of course you don't.

Damn you're dumb
What do you think the late rounds are for? They're for RISKS dumbass
NM could turn out to be Eric Crouch or he could be Antwaan Randle El...I'm leaning toward Randle El

quote:Reportedly stealing something at Georgia and a ticket at Auburn? Those aren't some outstanding off the field issues like others have had before being drafted. He's no more likely to fail a drug test than 85% of the athletes in the NFL. shite, even Wes Welker popped a Molly and got suspended recently.
Combine that with off the field issues
quote:Obviously, the scouts have seen the type of athlete Nick Marshall is. They like what they have seen.
I just can't see teams taking a chance on a guy like that when they could have guys without question marks who've actually played the position at a high level.
quote:I'm not surprised, with you being a Georgia fan.
I really don't see him getting drafted at all.

but it's a tall task to ask him to make the switch after player there one year since being in high school.
I was thinking the same thing. I didn't know how playing qb for as long as he has would translate over to being a DB in the NFL. Not sure about his hands, but maybe a slot receiver if not a shot at qb.

IMO, it would have to be in a change of pace role...

@JamesCrepea: Mel Kiper sees Nick Marshall going in the 4th or 5th round as a DB
But that's none of my business

Did he play QB in high school?
I wish he would have gone somewhere that he could have developed and played as QB his whole career. He is big and fast with a cannon for an arm.

He was a really good high school quarterback.

Why are you getting belligerent? It's just an opinion and not necessarily a crazy one at that.

Stealing from teammates. That's a character thing.

For drugs.

And guess what? Welker is a known commodity and producer in the league.

This honestly has nothing to do with me being a Georgia fan. It's not like I'm making irrational statements here. There have been plenty of threads on Marshall and the NFL and the VAST majority of your fanbase on here were of the same opinion. Quit trying to make this something it's not.
Y'all have gotten pretty defensive lately.

For drugs.
quote:And, your point? My point was that players use drugs. Since he's a known commodity and producer, it makes it OK? BTW, he's not half the player he used to be. He will struggle to find work when the Denver Broncos release him after this season.

The opinions I see spread throughout is that he will be drafted as an athlete.

Doesn't have much to do with his character. He still did it.

I'm sure it won't be addressed in interviews at all.

My point is he's not a risk. It's easy to look past something like that when you're a guy like Welker vs a guy like Marshall. One is a pro bowler. The other is looking to get a shot at a position he's never played at a high level. Do you really not see the difference?
quote:
What same opinion is that?
That he would go undrafted.

if les miles had gone with Brandon harris from the beginning, lsu would have beat auburn this year.
but if there wasn't rain in tiger stadium last year then I guess youre right, auburn beats lsu last year

Nick Marshall is kind of like Amari Cooper, faster than he appears
Wtc is up with folks not thinking Coop is fast as shite? People keep saying he's gonna run a 4.5. That might be true, but it LOOKS like he's running a damn 4.2 out there.
