Nine players drafted, most of any school, in the 2014 draft
LSU Players in the 2014 NFL Draft
Round (Pick) Team - Player, Pos.
1 (12) Giants - Odell Beckham Jr., WR
2 (51) Bears - Ego Ferguson, DT
2 (55) Bengals - Jeremy Hill, RB
2 (63) Dolphins (from Broncos through 49ers) - Jarvis Landry, WR
3 (92) Panthers - Trai Turner, OG
5 (156) Broncos (From Bears) - Lamin Barrow, OLB
6 (178) Titans (From Redskins) - Zach Mettenberger, QB
6 (181) Texans (From Raiders) - Alfred Blue, RB
7 (239) Bengals - James Wright, WR
The players below are already standing out and are serious Rookie of the Year candidates. Looking at it how did LSU not win a natty and have one of the most high powered offenses in the country last year?

Not enough chest.

A&M has never finished as sole owner of even 2nd place in the west. Even Houston did that at OM.

too many white guys playing defense

Bad defenses will keep you from winning ball games. You should know this

Wow.. They couldn't win with that squad. The decline is confirmed.

Because you touch yourself at night.

None of those guys are serious rookie of the year candidates.

Notice only 2 of the 9 were defensive players? In the 3 losses
UGA: 44 points 494 yards
OM: 27 points 525 yards (11-18 on 3rd down)
Bama: 38 points 372 yards
The defense was garbage last year. Especially on the road.

Scheduling, refs, and the location of the SEC offices.

As an Aggie you should know it is tough to win games in the SEC without a defense.

There's this thing called defense that is kind of important.

Les Miles is a very mediocre coach riding the coattails of the talent that comes out of La.
please keep him for many more years.

The short answer is the defense. Early in the year, our secondary wasn't quite as good (we were not yet starting true freshmen White and Robinson). Later in the year, our rush defense got exposed (overrated DTs, bad MLB).
So we lost an early year shootout to Georgia before our secondary wasn't in place yet, and we lost a late year grudge match against Alabama because our run D wasn't good enough.
On top of that, the team dropped one it should have won -- Mett threw a few INTs in the endzone against Ole Miss which pretty much cost us the game.

7 of those 9 were on offense. It's not that complicated.
