Amari Cooper vs LSU secondary

I was really pretty shocked at how easily Cooper got open on Saturday against what is one of the best secondary's in the country. I was even more shocked to see him drop every other pass thrown his way while wide open. Still, you know you are a badass when you have one of your worst nights and you still get 83 yards and a touchdown against that kind of secondary. Look for a career day against the miss st soft coverage.

Stop Cooper, stop AL Offense.

He had a bad second half. Really good first half though.

Jalen Collins played ok, would like to have seen Robinson on the field for us.

Another "Bama is awesome and LSU sucks" thread by a Gump. Awesome.

Have you seen his numbers vs every other secondary he has faced? There is a reason he didn't blow up in the LSU game like most he has played in this year. I agree he will have a big day vs MSU. To be honest....I see this as a very high scoring affair. Bama's D will be tired with how time they were on the field last Sat. Book it

He did have a good game all things considered and is certainly an immense talent. However, amongst the several variables that led to the Tide's close victory of LSU, near the top of the priority list is the fact that Rashard Robinson picked a most inopportune time to violate team rules and get himself suspended. While J. Collins did an admirable job and White was his usual dependable self, it would have been the more physical Robinson assigned to cover Cooper for much of the night. MSU has no White or Robinson IMO.

Cooper had 2 catches for 11 yards in the second half. He was a complete non-factor down the stretch. LSU locked him down after the TD in the first half and the stats back that up.
Go check out the play by play and see for yourself.
Great receiver. Had a terrible second half.

80 yards 8 catches 1 TD
second worst game of the year.
To be honest i think we had planned on Rashard Robinson not being a retard and covering him, but still a pretty solid game yet he LSU secondary all things considered.

Yea, and he walks on water in his spare time, too. Homer

I was shocked at how many passes he dropped in such a big game. A true badass wouldn't drop that many passes in such a big game. And for the record he had a good 1st half not a full night, cause he really didn't do anything worth talking about in the 2nd half. 10.4 YPC average does not equal badass against such a terrible secondary as LSU's just saying. When ya'll actually had to play someone worth a shite he got the droppsies...its real easy to pad stats against inferior talent week-in and week-out.

Cooper just couldn't get open against Tre White, unfortunately Collins was a step too slow.
We did a great job containing Cooper, as usual, Sims tried to force him the ball all night and Cooper really only gashed us on that TD catch and run against Collins. Outside of that 23 yard TD catch which was a great one he had 7 catches for only 60 yards. Cooper was targeted 16 times by Sims.

Our true freshman CB held him to 2 receptions for 22 yards FWIW

LSU secondary is easily the most overrated in the SEC this year.
Cooper showed us nothing in Fayetteville.

Whoever your shitty QB is will be shaken up by Preston Smith & Chris Jones coming off the ends.
