This is Cristobal's second year. Stoutland was a piss poor recruiter by Bama standards. Hard to make chicken salad out of chicken shite.

Not a bust but hasn't been the kind of back that takes games over either. Maybe that's because he doesn't get enough carries, poor OL play, etc...but I do think he needs to work on interior running. He's a big back and doesn't seem to have a knack for squeezing through small holes by "getting small". Nor does he excel at using his size and strength to run behind his pads and break tackles/move the pile. If he can fix that he can be a complete back because he's already good at outside runs, ball security, receiving, and pass pro.

If it hasn't already been mentioned in this thread, I'd like to point out that Henry is actually averaging just .09 fewer ypc than Yeldon. 5.08 vs. 4.99.

Look at his upper body, then look at them legs. Takes legs to push piles. Goes down too easy as well.

He has not come close to meeting expectations that we had for him going into the year. We really miss Drake.

I'm sorry yall. I want Henry to do very good, but he just isn't cutting it in my opinion ..

Maybe he hasn't set records like some predicted but he is not a bust IMO. Good solid back

I brought this topic up yearly a year ago and most of you told me to wait until around the end of this season to ask this question..
So what do y'all think?
Personally to me he hasn't lived up to even half of the hype he got out of high school.
Imo he has performed as expected overall. The transition from HS to college takes longer for some and I don't think DH has reached his potential on this level. He has performed well and has done what has been asked of him by the staff. So no, I do not believe DH is a bust, at all.

He doesn't have the mentality for his body.

Lets see what he does next year......he has the athletic ability...he's got to put it together though. He is not a bust by any means....we the fans hyped him beyond belief and that's not fair to him. Media was hyping him too but the fans including myself were going overboard. I still like him and he does show spurts of awesomeness but it's been pretty frustrating watching him this year....oh well he's a freak of an athlete but needs to work on the intangibles.

He has shown flashes of it though (Oklahoma game iyam) but I agree with you. Once he gets his mindset right, look out!

Henry is not a bust. He has a lot of talent but he needs to work on hitting the hole harder and not shying away from contact. I also think it's pretty obvious he skips leg day. He needs to add a lot of muscle to his legs... He is all upper body.

He's not a bust, but I'd rather have Kenyan Drake running the ball.

Henry needs to work his lower body to strengthen his posterior chain (glutes and hamstrings). He's 1 of the few top RBs that doesn't have a muscular posterior chain.....and this is why he lacks elite burst and power in terms of the inside running game.
He has the ability but needs to realize that "bench press" is very overrated for a RB. Get on those legs.......and NO I'm not talking about calf muscles as calf size has little/no impact on explosiveness. See great leapers and the top 100m dash sprinters for reference. It's the posterior chain from the waist to the knees.

So a true soph, who just started for the first time in his career, playing one of the deepest positions we have on the team, is a bust? OK.
