Kirk Herbstreit said on EPSN's "Mike and Mike" this morning that they need to implement the 10 second rule. Said "this fast break offense is getting out of hand". Said the defense should be allowed to sub and DC's adjust like football was intended.
I don't know if this is what we should do but we got to do something to keep the Auburn types from getting away with 12 men on the field (& 5 in the backfield). If the refs are too tired to keep up then something has to change.

Why are Alabama fans such wusses about this
Maybe y'all should adjust your defensive strategy instead of crying for a rule change

Considering that any game OM plays in the refs are 2 down because Freeze is disputing every damn down with them on the sideline while play is going on. If he want such a drama queen maybe the refs could do their jobs.

As for the 10 second rule, Auburn rarely snaps the ball with more than 25 seconds on the play clock. Last time I checked, 40-25 = 15 and 15 > 10.

You drunk again?

I'm not as concerned with being able to sub as I am with the refs being able to keep up. They are not prepared for the speed of the game, which allows some advantage to the offense. Linemen downfield is a big one. Didn't they add an official this year?

It's really not tempo team's fault the defensive players are too fat to get off field quick enough.

Like LSU did?

This wasn't Nick Saban. Did you read the OP? How you went from the OP to this statement is a testament to your stupidity.

Take it up with the refs, bitch.

LSU has actually beaten Auburn with Gus as HC

We didn't lose because of their tempo on offense.
We lost because our offense sucked in the passing game, and our defense had DJ Welter in the middle of it.

Gimmick offenses are the only way those teams can narrow the talent gap. It is a good strategy. The defense will catch up.

That may be, but they'd snap it a lot more quickly more often if the defense was trying to substitute and they could just rack up penalty yards on illegal substitutions before they could successfully substitute.

We just need more refs. If AU and the like are going to continue to push the envelope then the refs need help. They can only do so much. It would be easier than changing the rules.
