Those players left to improve both states' collective IQ at the same time.

Did more at Bama than he could have at LSU, because of the guys you mention.
Ok during his early years when he was lower on the depth chart there was Julio Jones, Marquis Maze, and Darius Hanks along with his fellow class mate Kevin Norwood.
Once Jones, Maze, and Hanks were gone after 2011, the new starters were Norwood, Cooper, and DeAndrew White. You had some ridiculous guys at WR, but we were just as deep as far as capable every down guys. Jones and Cooper are our big ones and I am not saying as a whole we necessarily had more talent, but better talent than Kenny Bell.

In no universe would I take Hootie Jones over Jamal Adams.
Like I said, we can compare them whenever Hootie gets to start after Landon Collins goes top 10. I think they are different players. What safety position is Adams playing for you guys out of curiosity?
quote:
We do have a QB that can throw to them, both of these guys have made big plays already. Bama is a top 5 team right now on reputation alone, they haven't beaten anyone yet.
Talk is cheap when it comes to in game stuff. This saturday will tell, I don't exhaust efforts pleading on why I think Alabama will win. What happens will happen. We will be able to talk more in depth about the future then.

I like our chances with both these guys, Carter would be less of a loss though.
I like our chances as well. One committed, lead for Allen.

The real answer to this question is CNS and the ties he established while at LSU.The real reason Tiger fans are upset he went to a division foe.How frickin hard is that for yall to understand?

A more serious reply than that of who wanted/did want whom argument is that under CLM, LSU has been recruiting on a national scale, more so than ever. So, with numbers in mind, LSU could not take every instate player like they used to. For any instate player LSU may have "lost", we have more than made up for it by our out of state signings. Even Saban himself has lost instate studs to Auburn. Why is top talent not all signing with Bama? Numbers.

What ever happened to that thug Tim Williams?

Saban built strong high school coaches relationships while at LSU and he maintains them. Bama recruits well and likey always will.
No Magic ....just the grind and process of Saban.

They understand it, they just need constant affirmation that Alabama is still good and stuff.

If by interview you mean them try to throw a $100M at him and beg him to come save them but him turning them down, then yea I guess the interveiw went pretty good.
I agree that money hungry Saban not taking the money at UT was a bit of a headscratcher. Somewhere I heard u guys paid off his 3.1 million dollar house as well. True?
I dont know how the interview went. Heard he was real close at taking the gig also heard he was just pimping your school for more money. I have no idea, who knows who cares?
If I were the coach, like most i'd give the great institution of Alabama a little credit for my success. But that just me.
Didnt Gene Stallings win there as well?

Why is Alabama having to recruit out of state? See what I just did there??
Honestly...some players have a desire and a 'want' to prove their talent by helping bring a really good program back to the top. While others just want to be a part of a winning team that may not require their 100% effort. The reality of the situation is this...young players are drawn to winning a ring while other are drawn to a team and that teams ability to get them plenty of playing time w/o beating them down, thus helping them get to the NFL.

I really am curious why he decommitted then recommitted to Bama.
I don't know? Not even sure his former coaches knew and I think Ole Miss entering picture had everyone puzzled. He was between LSU and Bama and then bam, Ole Miss. What the frick?

Bell would have either had Jefferson/Lee throwing to him, or Mett, who only threw to Beckham or Landry. That's where that comment really came from.

Not trying to trash Hootie, he could be a solid player. But Adams is on a different planet. Right now he's playing more SS. Agree that they are different types of players.

Carter has been giving LSU his ear, was here for the Ole Miss game. Crystal Ball says LSU 79% for Allen. Far from a sure thing for Bama (or LSU for that matter)

Hootie changed his mind and wanted to go to LSU. LSU didnt even return his calls because at that point we wanted Jamaal Adams instead. So sadly he was forced to go somewhere he really didn't want to go. Kinda feel bad for him but it's a win for LSU.

What about Jameis Winston leaving the state of Alabama for FSU? Does that mean little Nicky is losing all the talent in Bama you douche?
