Arkansas: Did Bert sacrifice this season just to redshirt a kicker?

After all of the kicking problems that cost y'all the aTm game and the Bama game, I checked to see if y'all had a decent kicker on campus.
Looks like y'all gave a scholarship to the #2 Place kicker in the nation last year and maybe redshirting him this year.
Cole Hedlund
Unfortunately for the Razorbacks, kicker John Henson badly missed a 44-yard field-goal attempt in the fourth quarter. The score would have put Arkansas up by 10 points with less than two minutes remaining. As we know, the miss proved to be costly. LINK
Defensive end Jonathan Allen blocked an extra point to make the difference in the game as the 7th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (5-1 overall; 2-1 in the Southeastern Conference) defeated the unranked Arkansas Razorbacks (3-3 overall; 0-3 in the SEC), 14-13, before a sellout crowd of 72,337 Saturday night on Frank Broyles Field at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (capacity: 72,000). LINK
My question is: The #2 ranked kicker should be able to make extra points and FG's under 40, so is this just another blunder by Bert that is starting to look like it will keep y'all from winning a SEC game and possibly a bowl game?
Using non-recruited walk on kickers by committee is kind of like the portrait of Arkansas football

he's not an Hog fan he's an attention whore. Probably lives alone and gripes constantly (to himself) why all the girls go for the good looking cool guys instead of him. His only release is to get on here and say insanely stupid stuff for attention. Also has a few different alters so he can agree with himself.

In answer to your question, no.
By the way, our kicker made 6/6 xpts and kicked a 49 yard FG that would have been good from 50+ last week.
Hedlund needs more leg strength, had a fair shot in preseason, got out kicked.

So he just struggled early on in the season? Did Bert waste a scholly on a wek legged kicker when he keeps whining about lack of depth on his team?

Compared to where we have been... it's pretty impressive.

As an Alabama fan I am an expert in highly rated kickers being terrible at actually kicking, so the fact that he was ranked #2 means basically nothing.

No, Henson was the kicker that had two extra points blocked (mostly not his fault) but did miss a field goal badly (not a good snap on that one either.)
Fain had been kicking off all year, and was our designated 40+ yd field goal kicker. Evidently he has the strongest leg currently, but must have not been the most accurate during preseason.
Hedlund will be fine, he just struggled with the transition and a year to strengthen leg will do wonders. Not a wasted scholly, will still get 4 good years out of him I believe.

Are "State" fans actually making fun of other teams kickers

Which part are you not sure is true?
Endzone cam sure made it look like the 49 yd FG would have been good from at least another 2 or 3 yards, conservatively.
Yeah, sure the adjustment to no tee was part of the difficulties, and CBB mentioned leg strength need to improve.

Why is this clear alter allowed to stay, but I'm warned and banned instantly whenever I use my alter? Ice Cold, DO YOUR JOB!!

I hear what you're saying but go easy on them. Not everyone is blessed to have a special teams coach that excels in turning highly regarded prospects into game day failures.

You should be perma-banned right now for admitting you use an alter.

So you actually have an alter and use it?
You messed up in your head
