The Saw series is pretty good. Also try the Hostel movies and the Descent movies.

The Exorcist

The original one of these was the best. Scared the living shite out of me as a kid

Halloween is GOAT for me. The original Alien will make you shite yourself about 6 times but I guess it's more sci-fi

The Exorcist.

It's strange...I've seen it a million times but the older I get, the more it scares me.

And Annabelle. Seriously, burn that doll with fire and bury the ashes.

ETA: And this year, Gamecock football is a particularly terrifying kind of horror movie all unto itself.

I actually am a weanie and cannot do the horror genre.

The closest I can do are scifi horrors like sunshine, alien, Prometheus, Predator, Pitch Black, Riddick, etc.

In no particular order:

The thing (saw it as a kid before the effects became old; terrified and fascinated me)
Oculus
You're next
Cabin in the woods
Silent hill
Carrie (newest one)
House of wax
Sinister (best use of sound for terror)

I dont watch horror movies. EVER. Life is scary enough without having to go to the movies to pay to get the shite scared out of you. frick that.

Besides I lived through Doug Barfield and the shite Show that was AU football 2012. No more for me.

1969–1974: The Nixon Years
