These issues need to be handled like instant replay reviews there needs to be indisputable video proof that Gurley did it. The "call on the field" as it were is that he didn't violate any rules.
In other news, if he did do it, he's now perfectly qualified for the Heisman, thanks to the Cam, Manziel and Jameis precedents.

This is where the strong hand of the Right Reverend as HC puts us at a competitive disadvantage. I'd go the lawyer route and make 'em prove it. Aren't Gurley's parents loaded?
ETA: I might be mistaking TG's family for Marshall's. One of them was raised by Cliff & Claire Huxtable.

The lawyer we have told him to come clean.

There's some talk that Gurley feels like he was deceived by UGA's lawyer into coming clean and may walk away since the school sold him out.
That's just a rumor at this point, but if that happens, McGarity and probably Richt should lose their jobs.

gurley isn't going to quit the season.
But I wouldn't be surprised at all if some UGA lawyer (protecting UGA's interests, not todd's) got him to confess, then told the NCAA.
Even if they did screw him over, I can't see him just quitting.

If that's true, then neither of them are qualified to handle the pressure of their jobs and should absolutely be fired. I really hope that isn't true.

I still haven't seen anything that says he confessed..

Even more than that, from a recruiting standpoint, UGA can't have the perception out there that UGA isn't looking out for the best interests of their players.
That's ignoring the fact that ADs and HCs are judged on their ability to win football games, and this would be deliberately undercutting that ability.

We should put out a press release...
"The signed jerseys followed Todd home, texted him continually, and were signed by at least one other player within one hour of being allegedly signed by Gurley." Take the UF approach.

Agreed, I hope this doesn't snowball into something bigger.

I 100% believe he admitted. The question comes down to how much did he admit to and will the douche bags that made money off him go underground.
1 or 2 games doesn't make sense. This thing just got stirred up. They have to finish examination and work a deal with NCAA. The guidelines are based on $ amounts. Once they file with NCAA the undisclosed amount will be public. UGA can't risk that number being proven wrong.
For our sake, this attention whore memorabilia guy needs to be made to go away. He has no legal obligation to say a thing.

If that's case then I wouldn't blame TG at all for quiting the team. Absolutly agree about McGarity but not CMR. McGarity's a HUGE hypocrite IMO.He was right in the middle of that mess with Urban Myer at UFAG and said or did nothing about it and then claimed he didn't know anything.
When JFF got caught he hired his OWN lawyers and then STFU...nothing really the NCAA could have one to him after that.
Wish TG had done the same but I'm sure he didn't have the resources of JFF.

The initial report came out SI.com that Todd Gurley received $400.00 for 80 autographed items. If this report is true, then he could be looking at a 1-2 game suspension.

There is no downside to telling the truth and he needs to realize this. May not like the penalty, but it's short term, and in the end you've come clean and it's over with.

I was going to take the picture of Katy Perry with the pencil and paste Gurley's face over Corso, so we could blame her, but I'm not talented enough to do it.
Love to help punish her though.

I don't know if I'm ready to hop on yet, but I'm at the ticket counter debating with money in hand.

Same. I just want to have my suspicions confirmed first.
