In two weeks, the center of the college football universe will be in Mississippi. Alabama visits Ole Miss in a top 10 showdown, and Texas A&M travels to Starkville in what will be a top 15 matchup. College Gameday will be in Oxford on October 4.

Who would have thunk it? Is the Landmass Uprising upon us? We will know by the end of the night on October 11, where Starkville is in the hunt for College Gameday as State hosts Auburn, and Ole Miss makes their first trip to College Station.

If State and Ole Miss come out of those two weeks a combined 3-1 or better, then holy hell. Lock up the women and children. The state of Mississippi will have two top 10 teams, two teams contending for the playoff, and two quarterbacks in the thick of the Heisman race.

I'm not one of those "hate Ole Miss no matter what" State fans. I firmly believe that the sustained success of both teams relies on two things. (1) Southern Miss has to be irrelevant, and (2) Both teams have to be good, solid bowl teams year in, year out and feed off each other.

Those two things will lead to better recruiting, and the SEC welfare check will lead to better facilities - for both teams.

Not expecting all of my MSU brethren on here to join me, but I, for one am accepting that Ole Miss is a great team this year, and hope they beat Alabama. Not saying I am going to don a bow tie, but I want them to succeed. This one team up, one team down thing that we have been doing doesn't work. Its time for the Landmass Uprising.

Alabama is going to beat OM's brains out.

Aggy probably beats state 60-42

Don't let me rain on your parade though. Enjoy the fantasy for now, because reality is only 2 weeks away.

The fact that y'all have to hope Southern Miss is down for y'all to be good is sad

Ole Miss and State are getting good talent now. The decline of Auburn, LSU, and Alabama is imminent. Well, LSU is already there. Our third string team beat them last season.

This is no longer required.

Our budgets dwarf theirs.

USM is dead. Ding dong, the Mustard Buzzards are dead.

I hope you are correct, as you were last week. I didn't take your predictions very seriously then, but I'm a believer after Saturday night's asswhipping.

Aggies will beat State.

They will quick pass it all day on you and completely take your great DL out of the game and exploit your weak secondary.

Basically they will do the opposite of what LSU tried to do.

Might break some scroing records in this one though. 52-39 Aggies.
