I know most of you will be watching UGA-USC that afternoon, but you're going to miss a hell of a game in Lubbock.
You have old school power football led by a brute of a man against the finesse Air Raid led by Sumlin protege and Ryan Gossling twin Kliff Kingsbury, each coach in their 2nd year at their respective school, and each coach trying to get a signature OOC win to help gain some momentum for their programs.
Bielema's looking for his first win against a power 5 conference school since he came to Arkansas, and this is his most important game of his Arkansas career. A win here on the road against a team that is favored to win, and against a team that is the antithesis of Bielema's philosophy, buys some more belief and enthusiasm from the hog faithful and could give this team extra confidence to pull off a win or two in SEC play and maybe get us over the hump to bowl eligibility.
But to lose this game and then stare into a brutal SEC schedule is going to be a tough pill for this team and fanbase. A loss will have people wondering if we bought into the right philosophy (traditional power football vs. hurry up/spread), and a loss almost surely means we aren't going bowling for the third straight season.
I've already made a prediction saying Tech will win by 4. But my thoughts on the game change by the minute. I could see either team winning in a close one, or either team running away with it, it's just a tough one to predict given how bad Arkansas has been against the pass and how bad Tech has been against the run.
Texas Tech will be wearing early 1990's throwback uniforms as an homage to the old Southwest Conference days. Hogs @ Tech on ABC is going to give us a brief look back at what it was like before Arkansas changed the world and left for the SEC. Or to look at it another way, it will give us a brief look at how it would have been if the Hogs had decided to go to the Big 12 instead of the SEC.
Hope you guys tune in and enjoy the game.

Pigs should win. Tech looked like hot garbage against UTEP.

I think Arky beats Tech by 3 TDs. Tech is bad; really bad.
Arky is is just so-so bad.

Ignore all the other crap posts. Screw TIVO, I'll definitely be watching live and hoping the Hogs put 60 on 'em. This may be the only team I'd pull for Arkansas against. OK yeah... there is one other. Pig Sooie, and all that!
If you're going to the game, stay close to half a dozen or so other Hog fans. No lie.

Texas Tech fans are the trash of the Big 12.
I hope Arkansas beats the shite out of them.

sounds like it will be a good game for the reasons stated in OP
vegas must think it's a tossup with a home field advantage for tech
