First of all, Updyke is a POS, plain and simple.
I do find it ironic that the school that gives so many athletes with a troubled past a second chance, doesn't want to give Harvey a second chance. Is it because these athletes didn't do their wrong TO Auburn?

Bro I just got here. He's the face of your program, we just talk about him for sport.
Really?...so I guess it would be correct to call Antonio Goodwin, Shaun Kitchens, Michael McNeil and Dakota Mosley the "face of your program"? These type of people are used only by the haters of the programs....come to think of it, this thread may go 20 pages...again, sad.
When they make a 30 for 30 about our schools that centers on those guys, you let me know.

No, it's because they're kids who apologize and want to see if they can do it better next time.
They're not belligerent psychotic criminals who cost a rival school a million bucks and a bunch of angst and then apologize only to the Bama nation.

Say it with me:
"They... were... just... trees."
You'll feel better if you say it slowly.

Maybe but it cost them a lot of money.

Exactly.
Auburn fans should consider themselves lucky he didn't harm a person. I'm sure he considered it.

Tusc, believe it all you want, but it was a PR nightmare for the university and the football team. It will most likely be a case study in Bama's PR school and others as well.

Hodges said he's still working out the particulars of the event, but former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, now with the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals, and his mother, Dee Dee Bonner, are helping organize and raise awareness for the charity event.
that is awesome.
maybe AJ can even be there to sign autographs and stuff.
by then, he'll probably be available seeing how his pro career can't even get going.
i wish they wouldn't bring that loser Updyke down here though. This is supposed to be for a good cause and that guy is a lost cause.
we don't need the stupid Gump/Barner feud down here in South Alabama territory anyway.

What's next Booster club meetings? Other public appearances with alabama football players. AJ agreeing to this shows the way Updyke is loved by some in the Tide Nation.

Agreed.
Also, I love how every AU fan on here is so much classier than Updyke and yet wishing him bodily harm and "his jaw to be accidentally broken".
All because a guy killed a tree that AU fans would throw toilet paper in. You stay classy, Auburn.

The fact is that every Auburn fan loved what Harvey did. It let them be their favorite thing in the world; a victim.
