Cool.
They also will not be allowed to be present when certain teams are being voted on.

Jeff Long has a finger in every pie, doesn't he?
There's no way this could end badly.

I frickin' despise this committee. I wish they would have just taken the BCS formula and used it to pick the top 4 teams. The problems that will be created by the biases of these people will end up being a massive problem.

From looking at that, Osborne and Manning appear to have the greatest potential for bias.

I do too.
At the end of the day, each member has his/her biases.
Time will tell.

The only I could potentially see holding something against LSU would be Manning.

I think it will be more hidden financial bias to make sure :
#1 at least 1 PAC team will make the 4 team playoff
#2 at least 1 B1G team will make the 4 team playoff
#3 no more than 1 SEC team will make the 4 team playoff

That damn Rudy commercial really makes me wonder wtf they were thinking with this thing.

Yeah if ND is ranked in the top ten they will be guaranteed a spot in the playoff.

I think its less about having each conference represented as having the largest population centers represented. That filters down to conference sometimes but not always. For example, both the ACC and SEC can cover Florida.

Every athletics big wig that comes out of Arkansas is a POS

There is a lot of Notre Dame in there.

In many cases, I think the biases will manifest themselves in terms of which team(s) a committee member is against, rather than whom s/he is for.

That's often true IMO
People often talk down specific teams with more vigor than they openly promote their favored team.
