Moved to Louisiana in 2007 (the best year to be a fan of CFB in general, which happened to be a great year for LSU)

Went to school and graduated from LSU and got to watch Peterson, Claiborne, Mathieu, Reid, and all the rest from the student section. Being part of a stadium that truly comes alive is something that sticks with you.

LSU represents a state that has given me the best years of my life. I look back on my 4 years there and see how it helped me grow as a person and a professional, and I'm thankful that I got to be a part of the experience.

To be honest, neither of my parents gave a shite about college sports. I was not raised to be a fan of any team. When I was 10, my great uncle gave me an Alabama hat for Christmas. So, I became an Alabama fan. It was really that simple. I ended up going to UA for undergraduate and grad school. If he had given me an Auburn hat, I would have probably gone to Auburn.

I grew up in Jacksonville and graduated from UF.
Interestingly, my dad was an FSU fan when I started watching. Preferred blue over garnet I guess.

The majority of family I grew up around are Kentucky fans. Watching games together, in person and on TV, was always our thing. I went elsewhere due to my major and sport at the time (ended up not playing due to injury) but my fondest memories have always been cheering on UK with family and friends so there was never any change in fandom for me.

I did take one whopping course there in this exchange type deal. So I guess I'm a semi-sidewalker.

I'm a graduate. There's not really a choice and "fan" is a poor word to describe it.

Born in New Orleans and they almost lost the team to San Mexico which increased my emotional bond.

I graduated from Texas A&M and being an Aggie since then has been a privilege and life booster.

I grew up a huge Georgia fan in a huge Georgia family. But my senior year of high school I discovered that since I was in the top 15% of my class that I could take days off of school to make trips to potential colleges. I did it just for fun at first, just going with my buddies to Atlanta and mostly Georgia schools just messing around and thinking I was surely going to UGA no matter what, but we somehow ended up in Auburn one day and I fell in love with everything about it. The city, the University and the GIRLS. I ended up going there and getting my Engineering Degree and thank the good Lord for it every single day. Best decision of my life.

I grew up in a town 15 miles outside of Baton Rouge. Almost everyone I know is an LSU fan. (outside of the bandwagoners) I am about to start going to school at LSU. I love the tradition. The atmosphere. The campus. Everything about LSU. Wouldn't have it any other way. Don't know how someone who lives a few miles from campus can cheer for anyone else. But that's why I'm an LSU fan.

Parents graduated from Vandy. I graduated from Vandy. Wife graduated from Vandy (grad school.)

And my kids damned well better find a cheaper place to graduate from because I'm saving up for a retirement filled with leisure and a succession of high-priced call girls.

My dad went to law school at UGA after graduating Emory undergrad.

My two older sisters went to UGA as well.

I'm now an incoming freshman at UGA

Grew up a Georgia fan. My grandfather played for Georgia from 1958-1961. Played with Fran Tarkenton and Pat Dye. He was roommates with Loran Smith. He had Herschel Walker stay at the house I live in now for a weekend. Was very good friends with Vince Dooley. Vince Dooley sent me a baby gift when I was born, some little bulldog slippers, still have them.

So you have no actual connection to the university of any kind just a fan huh? You must have been a joy during some of the Shula years.

Grandmother and Grandfather went to LSU.

Mother went to LSU.
Dad played football at LSU from 86-90.

I and my wife have degrees from LSU.

My sister is currently enrolled. My 2nd sister already has a scholarship there from the Charlie Mac Foundation.

It's a family thing.

People like you should be strung up and mocked on the drill field in the middle of campus for all to see.

There can't be anything I hate worse than to see you people walking around at our University with a fricking Alabama shirt on, or any other school for that matter. It's a fricking disgrace.

So you both went to MSU but chose to root for Alabama because they win more football games. At least you are honest about it.

Parents went to and met at Mizzou. Grandfather was a professor at Mizzou. Both my brother and I graduated from Mizzou. I've been a lifelong fan since my grandfather took me to basketball and football games since as far back as I can remember.

I grew up cheering for Michigan and Texas A&M because my mom and dad matriculated through those institutions, respectively.

And, of course, I graduated from TAMU as well.

Despite being born in BR I was not raised a LSU fan. My mom was a graduate of Southern. LSU was mostly awful though for half of my childhood, so I didn't care. I caught on with LSU after the 2001 season.

Grandparents on one side didn't really watch football. The other side are huge Bama fans. Dad went to and graduated from AU. Mom grew up an Alabama fan but converted to Auburn. I grew up loving Auburn since the first time I went to a game when I was 5. I'm currently at Auburn. I have some Uncles and Aunts that are Bama fans. My family is pretty evenly split.
