The state of Mississippi is almost completely ignored in this poll

Not surprised. When you beat Alabama occasionally you're gonna be liked by the general public.

Outside of Cal and USC, I can't think of a reason anyone would hate Stanford. I'd say they are probably the least hated

So the general public condones violence?

Define occassionally.
Is it Auburn winning 8 of the last 12? Auburn winning 12 of the last 21 (moved to home and home)?

Since Saban came to Alabama. Which if I'm correct is split nearly half with Alabama having the edge.
Why would I go back that far if Alabama sucked arse Alabama is liked at the moment because obviously we win 11-14 games every single season and blow out most of our opponents. Like I said....with Auburn winning 3 of 7.....there's gonna be some liking there. Especially when it means ----->no championship<----- for Bama.

since Malzahn came to Auburn, he has won every game as Head coach vs Bama
so Auburn has the edge
so Auburn has the edge

It is going to be interesting to see what Aubs think of Gus when he becomes a .500 coach vs Alabama.

Which conference do you have the most respect for?
Which SEC team do you like the best?

Yep. That's why I always chuckle when I see a new thread pop up weekly about "Who are the most hated teams outside the SEC?" Without looking you know it's Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma, Ohio St.... you know, teams that have a history of actually winning.

Pretty much. Hollywood has actively taught kids to hate winners.
Think about it - back in the day, who did they make movies about? The Yankees, the winners, etc.
Now? It's all about the underdog. The scrappy team that wins against all odds.
Once you get to the point of being the "winner", you get more hate than love.
Except maybe Stanford. Being surrounded by USC, UCLA and Oregon means they'll always be universally liked.
