Maybe if they were to start losing more?

Although I'm not sure the normal bama fans would consider the high body count worth it...

The University of Alabama would have to move at least a few hundred miles away to have different fans

Don't let their protests fool you. There really isn't any differentiation between the two. Read through that Mettenberger thread...trash always gonna trash.

They can't. Once you go full Gump, it's too late.

I wore an orange tie when I first moved to AL years ago. I was accosted like I was a TN fan in many of the offices I visited.

Weird folk, those people.

Tell them Saban is signing autographs at the bottom of the ocean... the rest will work itself out.

It's like a plaque. They must be quarantined for the safety of humanity.

In the Saban era, the increases in the embarrassing actions taken by Bama's "special" fans are directly correlated to Alabama losses, specifically at the end of the year.

I honestly think it would take an expansion NFL team to pop up in Birmingham. Even then it would take years and also require Alabama to degrade to the point where they were unwatchable. Neither of these things will happen so the decent Alabama fans are stuck with it.

They'd have to start losing. The bandwagon has simply grown into a monster.

Alabama should think about segregating or leveling their fandom. Maybe a slightly different logo like the difference between Ralph Lauren and US Polo Assoc....

Maybe the Script A for graduates and airbrushed things for the sidewalks?

I honestly think that if Saban addressed each incident we could find some progress. Like he said don't do that/that's bad/treat people, especially those with differing opinions, with respect.

I also think other Bama fans need to demand more out of their fellow Bama fans. It's not all about them....

For example I was disgusted when I heard that Bama fans were getting their picture taken with Updyke in NOLA before 2011 BCS. Same with the teabagger(although I think his sentence was ridiculous).

If I saw Updyke tomorrow It would take all I had to not go over and ridicule him.

Yes and no. No, because if they start losing they will just do more crazy shite. Yes, if they start losing they will kill each other. Once they are dead they can't do more crazy shite.

When the next Mike Shula comes along, that fanbase will be cut by more than half.

I think other fanbases give a shite about it much more than I do. I don't know those people, I don't do those things, I don't associate with them. It has no affect on my life. I guess it gives other fanbases something to talk and rabble about. I really just don't concern myself with it.

Clearly there are less be headings and bombings but the psychology is similar if you compare them to Islamists: true believers, often poor and uneducated, worship individuals (see statues), overreact with violence or extreme behavior, base their entire lives on this single entity
