All I know about Wal-Mart I learned from DanMullins4Life

Wal-Mart kills local businesses. Cannot support someone who is ok with running smaller businesses out of town.

The 250 billion promise has been proven to be a lie.
Walmart costs California taxpayers 86 million in public assistance annually.
Each and every Walmart costs local taxpayers.
Walmart benefits from a large amount of people buying their goods with government stipends.
Walmart has a working partnership with the government, if not for this partnership they'd be nothing.
Start thinking for yourself.

Walmart has the lowest price and that's the main thing I look for. Walmart and Amazon for me because I'm cheap.

Walmart has shitty service, long lines, gross produce, nasty meat, and cheap (quality and price) goods. The ones in BR are also smell bad, are often filled with annoying people, and come with the added risk of catching a stray bullet in the parking lot after dark. Why would I shop there?
I don't hate their smaller neighborhood market stores as much, but I still don't buy produce from them.

My beef with Walmart* is primarily how penny pinching they are with employees (except corporate, of course.)
No one gets 40 hours, never are they staffed enough. Yes, it would cost them more to have 'full time' employees, but it would pay off for them in the long run by having happier, healthier employees.
And if you are going to have 20 check out lines, why are only 5 open at a time? Why the expense of putting those lines in if you never intend to have 20 employees on the clock checking at one time?
Too much cheap shite made in China, also. They sometimes talk a good game by saying they are going to 'buy American', but I sure have trouble finding any of it on the shelves.

I don't shop there, but don't hate them either.

Wal-Mart is fantastic. People who hate Wal-Mart tend to hate Wal-Mart consumers because they don't like their lifestyle or whatever.

So much ignorance and Eliteism in this thread towards sonething great.
Walmart is a great company that brings economic development to their community, provides low prices across the board that benefit everybody especially the poor, provides employment to a significant majority of the population, and improves the lives of everybody involved with a Walmart affair starting with feeding millions of people and then giving them access to other extra amenities that would be a tad more difficult to obtain and in short supply in stores that are smaller.
