Asking for anyone's opinion on this forum is useless.
You are gonna get the "doesn't matter, my team is better than yours" type replies.

Exactly. Which is what I gave. Just tried to provide some reasoning for it.

Too many people are bringing up the QBs.
When is the last time that a QB has won the East with their arm?
Downgrading UGA, UF, or USCe because of the starting QB is foolish.
The team who runs the football the best wins.
Last year, it was Missouri.
The year before that, it was UGA.
USCe and UGA have the best tailbacks in the East.
Missouri loses the most on the ground (Josey and Franklin).
Tennessee and Florida are just trying to find themselves offensively.
Whomever runs the football the best wins the East.
I'd flip a coin 50/50 between UGA and USCe

Not to mention y'all are still South Carolina and will lose to somebody terrible like Kentucky.
Funny how we used to be the South Carolina that rarely got to a bowl game. Good thing that things change and all.

Florida has the most experienced QB in the East, a stud RB, and an always stout defense that should easily be the best in the East.
Always stout defense ... gave up 400 yds to Ga Southern on the ground in The Swamp.
But I get it, I do.
SCAR sucks in your eyes. Got it.

SCAR's OLine should be the difference maker. We'll see.
SCAR's depth at RB, and talented depth at RB, is going to surprise some people. RFr David Williams is special. Size, power, world class speed, runs behind his pads, very fluid, good hips, good vision ... he might really shock some people. He is very very good and he's fourth on the depth chart at RB.

Right. Got it. Another great, well-spoken contributor to the SECr.

Here's the production on the ground from their RBs/QBs Georgia, USC, and Mizzou are bringing back from last season.

19 rushing TDs
USC:
1,712 yards
5.2 ypc
19 rushing TDs
Mizzou:
1,559 yards
5.8 ypc
15 rushing TDs

I've said it a time or two - USCe fans will inevitably think I'm just trying to get under their skin - but I'm genuinely interested to see how their running game changes, for better or worse, this year without Shaw. Thompson and Shaw are not similar QBs in that regard.

Good, two players out of 11 on the offensive side of the ball. Even the four horsemen needed the other 7 guys on the field.
So in conclusion...GTFO with this weak shite unless you want to actually answer my OP.
Dirty Dawg...you cant handle the truth. The truth is this: UF is loaded and being disrespected because of the 2013 season...that's ok...we are laying in the cut. Driskel and a stable of RBs are just some of our strengths on offense...our starting five OL can pretty much handle their own against anyone...depth is an issue though and other than seven OL...we have been recruiting top ten material for years...last year the bottom fell out when injuries struck even before season started. Driskel is now r/s junior and he has Robinson and Fulwood as two soph wrs who will make DBs look silly.
Defense? Don't even go there...stout. LBs are loaded and talented. Don't expect the 2013 remake this year....the Gators are smelling blood in the water. 11-1 and hell...maybe 12-0. The WLOCP will be a slaughter thi8s year...mark it down.

Thompson can run, obviously nowhere near as good as Shaw though. Our OLine is highly touted this year, so I don't see too much of a dropoff. It can happen though. Losing Shaw hurts. At the same time, I still feel when Thompson is playing to his abilities, he throws a much better deep ball than Shaw and that could open up the run game.
As with every team, it all depends on the QB. If we have to rely on Mike Davis alone, then I'll be worried.

I just haven't seen it yet. Granted, I've only watched about 3 games throughout his career that he's played major minutes in.

This is clearly the silver lining IMO. If the OL can consistently dominate DLs, then it doesn't matter.

When the guy who has 14 passing TD's in his career is a strength of your offense, that's not good.
