ESPN had three writers offer 10 fixes each to college football, be it rule changes or other assorted differences.

but what's this got to do with injuries.
I think we all know there is a group of people out there that want a slower game. Glad he just said it and didn't try to dress it up with feeble minded bullshite.

Dumb statement is dumb. This hasn't changed. The only difference is some offenses have changed their strategy to also outpace a defense and catch them off guard.

so which is it?... are we doing this for player safety, or b/c you like it better?
The changes made in 2008 were good for the game... it streamlined the process... there was too much variance on how long some crews would stand over the ball. Taking this out of their hands was one less way for officials to dictate play/control the game... that is a good thing, imo.

They still do this, only difference is the 40 second clock starts before he does this, rather than a 25 second clock after
